PLEASE HELP ME! I'm new to maschine, and I'm simply trying to record from maschine into logic. ive done the whole midi batch setup, but it still wont record. ive read all the forums seen the vids, can you help me?
Not my type of music, but I respect and Appreciate it, and I can tell your dope at it. The set up you have is what is like trippy lol. The glowy lights under the axiom are too dope!
This is great! I am currently using Maschine by itself, but I just got Logic Pro. I can't seem to find a tutorial that is step by step for importing/recording my Maschine tracks into Logic. Can you create a tutorial? Where are the Maschine/Logic Pros on YouTube!?!?!? Someone Help Me!!!
@trzzonline When ive found my sounds & assigned them to the pads, how do I save to re-use later? So i dont have to re-find the sounds i like again?....Thanks
Is the computer indispensable when you use the Maschine?
I need a device that can keep sounds (samples and songs to sample from) in it's own HDD (or memory, w/e) that I can use without hooking it up to a computer.
I want to completely get rid of the computer, don't want to carry one around when I play live.
@thedevo01 yes maschine is actually a software + its dedicated midi controller. But the controller itself doesn't do anything if it's not plugged (USB) with a computer.
I see, so it's a hardware that can navigate it's own software which is installed onto the computer you hook it up to, and the speakers (output) are plugged into an external soundcard (for instance), so it'd look like:
@thedevo01 yes, it's all inside the computer. You can even run the Maschine software without pluging the hardware controler, you can do everything with the mouse. But then that would defeat the purpose of the Maschine concept. Cheers.
thank you for the kind words aikighost & u all. that's a gr8 question. loading a new project with all samples, groups and tracks stops the whole show for a few seconds. a workaround would be to prepare 1 Live project, where everything is loaded into 8 groups. EX: say group A would be basses, then you'd have 16 instruments and/or 16 Loops for basses over 64 patterns), say B for Synths (16 Synth Instrument!, Or Loops)etc , C for Drums etc.. That's some limitations but doable IMO & a gr8 training.
hmmm....could anyone please help me.......I have bought me the maschine too.....and I use Logic....but I don´t figure out how 2 use it in here....I have put the maschine as a plug in....when I open it there is coming out no sound........and in genereal...I wanna use the maschine....for making beats for arangements I did in Logic....how is the best way??....please anyone help...I am so hot 2 use it........
i was on my way to big bear in an open jeep - and was moving my hands around. guess what - that watch wasn't fully secured and went flying...on the 330 highway at 60 mph... i made a 180 1/2 mile later...to go pick it up...sveral cars later, and looking a little flatter - i got it back... it's still in use..with fender guitars you call that "road worn" ;)
yes, definitely. i use it to control KOre Player, native instruments Traktor, ableton, or any otehr instrument in logic. it acts as a regular midi contoller, and you can set up templates on it, and switch quickly - even while maschine is running (dual function).
Thats cool, and say that I put together a beat using the sequencer in maschine software, would I be able to export midi data from my sequence into logic for mixing and mastering? or would I have to export audio wav files?
since 1.5 you can not only drag audio, but you can also drag to midi into your host sequencer - which will give you a midi file. that midi file can then be played by any other instrument / plug-in. and of course you can route 16 tracks from maschine into logic etc. and do your mixing there in real time (without even moving any tracks). or do a combination of all the above. i made a lil vid that touches some of that subject a while back :) .... /watch?v=5k1daQgxQk8
Thanks for info. I have Maschine myself and love what grain delay/cloud does. It would be nice if Native added some more original effects like this and Ice reverb is another favourite. Look forward to more :)
Cool. Are we talking about the same sound here? Looks like pad 3 on group D (you press it but there's some delay on the sample) I can hear the guitar on pads 1 and 2, just wondering if (pad 3?) is guitar too. Sounds eerily good :)
yes - agreed it sounds quite different - and railor you have a sharp eye - you identified the correct pad - yes that's a guitar as well - and almost identical to the 2 other riffs on the pads. it's harmonics on the 12th fret with a wah wah pedal + bending the guitar neck...on that pad i just used the heaviest effect with feedback and darkness "cloud" (thats how it's called) setting, oh and there's almost no dry signal in there anymore, so it's harder to hear.the makers of absynth after all:)
what keys were those @ :30 ? is it a maschine instrument?

@thedevo01 you better buy an mpc in this case... mascihne can't be used standalone u always have to hook up with a computer

@whotookmypiewtf definitely MASCHINE! it's cheaper and comes with so much.. save the extra money for more gear instead of buying an mpc 5000 ;)

can u use the maschine hardware as control drum kits and vst in logic pro? or do u have to use the software that comes with it?

One more question haha...Maschine has midi out right? so u can have it play along with external midi device? like say a synth or keyboard?
JahmBProducts 2 years ago
yes absolutely in & out - use MPC, Roland, Yamaha, or any otehr MIDI gear. I'll be working on a MASCHINE vs MPC 5000 TOE to TOE video soon.

can you sequence the maschine live in logic?
purpleandbianco 2 years ago
yes, definitely. this is all M sequenced - but just the outputs routed to the mixer in logic. for my workflow thats best of both.
massivebeatzz 2 years ago
Like it! Love the (vocal?) sample just after 3:36 :)
rail0r 2 years ago
thanks - the "vocal" is actually my guitar thru wah wah - and then sent thru the deep "grain delay" FX Maschine has :)
