This was back when everything was right in the world. The Cowboys were crowned back to back superbowl champ and took their place on top of footballs ultimate throne. Jimmy Johnson had the Cowboys on point through these two seasons. Unfortunately, Jerry ran him out and aside from Switzer and Big Tuna, the team has limped on ever since. It's almost as if Jerry is setting this wonderful franchise up for failure. Something has to change soon. I want my team to go all the way before I clock out.

Well the AFC was terribly WEAK the AFC had been terrible since the Raiders beat Washington on Black Sunday, the AFC didn't actually win another SB until Denver beat the Packers.... the AFC was just shitty. From 1985 to 1996.

i dont care what anyone says the lions are the most losing football team in the NFL the only team to go 0-16 and to lose 30 games in two seasons the bills are much better they got to a super bowl the lions well the only way they would be any good is if Ford sold them to someone who knows what they are doing it would be better to have made it to a super bowl and lost then have not to at all

I'm note a fan of either of these two teams but I always wondered why James Washington didn't win the MVP, I mean he had a Interception, a caused fumble, recovered a fumble for a TD that got the Cowboys right back in the game, how can you ask more from a single player?

Good question - I guess offensive firepower just wins more votes. The fact that Emmitt had had a very good season might have swayed people too. Washington had very little name recognition compared to Emmitt.

Emmitt carried almost every play on the go-ahead drive in SB 28, and he hammered the final nail on 4th and goal from the one. And, it was impossible for the voters to forget that he was doing this 4 weeks away from a separated shoulder.

because on wikipedia it says that the Redskins are one of the biggest or most intense rivals for the Cowboys, well at least the Bills aren't the only team to be 0-4 in the Super Bowl, the Vikings lost 4 in the 1970's, but in a 7 year span.

Of course, you can always say that they made it to four straight, but it would've been cool for Jim, Thurman, Bruce, etc. to say they won at least one..........as long as that one wasn't against Dallas! ;-)

I wasn't alive during Super Bowl XXV, but every time I see that kick against the Giants sail wide right, I just go, "Oh no..." But if the New Orleans Saints (the other team I've always trully loved) can win a Super Bowl, anybody can. The Bills will get their ring someday.

I don't care what everybody else says. Leon Lett is one of the greatest football players of all time. He was not really an explosive tackler, but his long arms and great strength could really keep blockers off of him (4:44) and force many fumbles.
