I have had bad breath, lost my job due to it. tried to find a new job but it's very hard once you stink up the office. I had tonsil stones and awful bad breath. The laser doesn't melt them down as some people have said - they are removed first, then the crypts are lasered down so the bacteria etc. doesn't have a moist area to fester.

@sharonscw Well first off are they there? 2nd what are you doing with the q-tip? are you just poking at the tonsil in hopes it pops out.. or are you actually going inside of the whole with the q-tip and wiggling it out? if non of those work, do you know how to "flex your tonsils"? Also, if you have those little teeth kit things that you fill up with water and it has the little pump that blows water in.. that's a good thing to put up to the whole and blow it out with *this all sounds so wrong lol

@sharonscw and I'm very sorry if this wasn't helpful at all. when I got mine I went and got them removed. complain of throat probs often and get them out. that's really the only cure. my breathe was horrible because of them. I literally carried mints/mouthwash/toothepaste with me EVERYWHERE!

@sharonscw Hey I know a better way to remove tonsil stones. Do you know what a blackhead extractor is? It is a metal rod with a loop type end. They sell them almost everywhere; I got mine at walmart for like $1. Make sure it is clean/disinfected and go into the actual tonsil hole/crypt and just push and pull them out. It works much better because it is not as abrasive as a q-tip. Good luck God bless

I don't see how using a laser helps at all. When the stone is solid it's easier to pick it out in one piece. All the laser does is melt it and make it more difficult to remove.

I'll try to explain as my doctor explained to me, but I don't have a notepad to draw on, so pay attention... okay. everyone has wholes in there tonsils.. just not big ones.. when you have wholes.. food gets inside.. your tonsils shed just like your skin.. so that's inside.. and then you have the occasional build up of germs and yada yada that gets inside.. now.. as it grows, it pushes back against the whole, and makes it bigger, actually..

I got my tonsils out on the 22nd.. i ate that day, and the day after.. since the 24th.. Today is the first day ive been able to eat again it hurt so bad..

Hey good folks, I have great advice for all people who suffer from tonsil stones. Drink a lot of prune-juice. Your feces will get more moist and easy for use. The next thing you do is eat your shit, and swallow it down with rotting roadkill you've blended in the mixer (you can also add cat piss and shit). Avoid good smelling food. This will cover up the smell of your mouth. Do the treatment for the rest of your life, it works for me! Good luck.

i just got one of these recently for the 1st time, not sure why all of a sudden but i noticed after scraping it out of my throat that the tonsil hole looks larger than the other side...seems like once you get one it is then easier for bacteria to form there again since the hole is now larger..it's just annoying having to gag yourself to get it out...thankfully i've never experienced any bad breath from it though
