  • I love the video! Two mummies enjoying time together means 2 people growing old together and still in love now matter the stretch of time!

  • lol back in 89' this is HQ audio

  • Comment removed

  • man the 80s produced the best music but some of the weirdest videos. robert smith in a bear costume tops my list

  • Love the song. Takes me back to the summer of 89. Hate the video though. Makes no sense.

  • hq? ass

  • I have always liked this video....the mummy's are way cute!

But the message is all gooey.. They don't care about looks....they "want a friend and a lover divine."

I am going to post another version I didn't know existed that I like better. Let me know which you prefer. :)

  • I don't remember how many times I got fool by Luiscmckl but thats okay :)

  • Gotta love 80's videos - acting out the lyrics.

  • UN BUEN TEMA

  • Pretty cool!

  • The song takes me back immediately to the grand and outrageous 1980's!!! What an awesome time to be a teenager it was! WOW! And this song is a happy-sad old school fav of mine!

  • HQ = Horrendous Quality ?

  • very good song. 80,s classic.

  • Great song! I used to love this video :)

  • everlasting 80's songs!

  • como me gusta este tema...sin duda una década de oro para la música!!

  • perfect 80s song...you have to be high on cocaine to like it. hahah..agreed?

  • @actuary33 I gotta make a cheesy 80's mix and do a bunch of coke and go for a sunny afternoon drive.

  • @Timoth1983 80's music and coke go hand in hand.

  • HQ Audio, huh?

  • OK, I get it - "everlasting love," but the mummies creep me out.

  • typical late 80's music

  • Why they don't include this song in gta: vice city?

  • Howard Jones, along with The Human League and Belinda Carlisle will visit Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila, The Philippines to perform on Oct 10, 2011.

  • howd i know the top comments were gonna be about the 80s going back etc

  • John Howard hit #12 in Billboard, 6-3-89. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • this guy is in Killswitch Engage?

  • i love how it says hq but its only 240p

  • Phil Colins wannabe

  • 1980's gay

  • Thank you Luiscmckl! I don't think I've ever seen this video! It seems that the video shows were evaporating by the late 80's and you never got to see any videos anymore.

  • who are those two people dressed as mummys in that Howard Jones music video, I was just curious

  • The thing I miss most about the 80s: people understood then that humor could be a big part of art and media. "Hip" didn't necessarily mean "ironic". Lack of irony means a vulnerability that most won't risk now - either because as individuals they're afraid of looking weak, or as corporations they're afraid it won't sell.

Damn, I miss humor and risk.

  • @liberal2nSF I was thinking to post something to "explain" the mummies in the video to the new generation. You hit the nail right on the head with your comment. Well some of us remember when some people cried out about the dumbing down of culture. Few paid attention and of course it happened and has brought us this new world. Sad.

  • love this song

  • buen tema howard jones tiene muy buenos temas

  • this song = instant good mood! :)

  • that's a sweet song, it makes you believe that true love exists... :)

  • Everlasting love for the 80s that's for sure!

  • love this soooooooooong thanks is perfect!!!! you have no idea!!!

  • The good ole days of teenage crushes and good music that had meaning.

  • HQ sound my ass

  • @korranda actually your ass probably sounds better..this sounds terrible!

  • Positive songs, Howard of course!

  • the whole twirly thing in the corner really detracts,it's a shame

  • Go, HoJo! Love his songs!

  • Wait for it, wait for it give it some time :)

  • This video is a crack they look like there wraped in tp lmao

  • this song is so true

    think about it

    real love

  • Too Cute - the song is great in meaning and the video just brings it home.

  • he look suspicious like George Bush with at film over his face at 0:33

  • @bigfootsize12 u r absolutrly right... thot that was funny

  • this is HQ audio? seriously? hmm

  • @entity30068 If you have serious doubts, then i would advise you to give suggestions to this make this video HQ.

  • @Supersweetguy It's just my opinion, don't sweat it. It just sounds a bit 'tinny', not what I would consider hq.

  • It's a shame that music today don't have the feel that it did back then! But times change and now we live in a hip hop nation. I cant wait till this movement is dead!!!!

  • this is such a cute song about finding true love!!!

  • Back in the day, the radio stations down here in Florida wore this song out!

  • Comment removed

  • Great song. Should've been a much bigger hit imho.

  • My fav is People R People

  • OK 80s video buffs....help me out. I remember watching a video on MTV -- there was a guy dressed like a king (fancy cape/robe in red velvet I think and a crown) who is walking around with a lawn chair. I recall an open grassy hill or something? I was a kid and that's all I remember except I think it may have been one of those songs people either loved or hated? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT SONG I'M THINKING OF? I just can't remember :-( PLEASE HELP!!

  • @farleyfarkle Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence, EARLY 1990S! "Enjoy the Silence" is Depeche Mode's twenty-fourth UK single, released on 5 February 1990, and the second single from the then upcoming album Violator.

  • @robfergusonjr -- THANK YOU!! I've literally been trying to remember this for years! I only saw the video a couple times and remember liking it -- I never would have made the connection to Depeche Mode -- I remember a few of their songs I really liked -- "Personal Jesus" , "Policy of Truth" and "People are People".

  • I love this video, I may be a sap but this song is one of favorites. The mummies are people in love long after they are dead. That would totally represent everlasting love.

Did you ever notice howard gives a upsidedown finger early in the video.

  • I love this video, I may be a sap but this song is one of favorites. The mummies are people in love long after they are dead. That would totally represent everlasting love.

  • I love the British music videos because they're not too serious about it; It always looks like fun.

  • This is my personal favorite Howard Jones song. I think he could release this song right now and it would a hit. Everyone is looking for an everlasting love instead of the same old douchebag. Come on, Howard, you could probably use a few extra bucks.

  • thumbs up if you have everlasting love to 80s music <3

  • i THINK HE LOOKS A LITTLE LIKE DAVE COOLIER FROM FULL HOUSE :D

  • Thanks eamon54......they were good times.

  • HQ Audio? Love the song, but this is far from HQ audio

    .

  • bleached hair & the 17th .... could only mean ONE thing for me ... MORE of Slim Shady ????.... come onnnnn... gimme Shady !!!! xox

  • all of howard's tunes are the greatest!

  • @jamesnewton777 Boy are you so right there

  • Um...I don't understand this video. They're mummies?

  • @ShellyDZ99 everlasting lovers they are mummies and still in love, though they have been mummies for so long

  • @italiangerry1 I was thinking that the purpose of the mummies was to show that appearance doesn't matter, as long as you love to be with each other. But that probably makes more sense, since it's "everlasting" love, haha.

  • @ShellyDZ99 It just represents the fact they are in love, even after they have been dead for years.

  • The 80s music was soooo good, that you could dance to it, had meaning to it, and you could enjoy with someone you were in a relationship with. Im so glad I lived through the 80s :)

  • @MrAxeEdent Gee I so much agree with what you say here

  • Only in the uk...

  • this is genius

  • What a kick butt song this is!

  • I used to love this video - I've still got it on an old VHS of The Chart Show somewhere!

  • Their was so many songs entitled "Everlasting Love" and out of all of them this one was the best and still is. Howard Jones was one of the most innovative artists of not only the UK but all of the world in the 1980's. Everything today is a result of the giant leaps forward music took as a result of guys like him. What a time for music and we are still benefiting from it today.

  • @happyhoman I dunno, Andy Gibb's Everlasting Love was really good :) but I agree, this is really happy and cool!

  • true most music now is full 10 min big brothers house and crap x factor has beens,, music now just rushed out,, no worries bout been nummber 1 antmore as its all based on downloads not what cds records sell,

  • this song is lovely. bouncy and happy. He kinda looks like the singer of level 42 here!

  • This vid version would be great, except that some crank ruined it by covering it over with that lousy "Lasagna88" or whatever banner.

  • I love this song, but this has to be one of the dumbest videos I have ever seen.

  • @stew7479 What did you expect? Roxy Music?

  • "This is Love worth waiting for" ; p

  • @82sweetheart

"He didn't want someone who walks straight off the TV" ~s

  • @gvenema= It was the Eighties. Too much of anything was cool. It was the decade of overexcessiveness. The Eighties was about being weird, surreal, and funny. Nobody wanted to be normal then.

  • Although I was kid during the 80's, I wish that I could relive those times again. Life was simpler back then but more enjoyable and meaningful....the music was definitely superior to today's, I get bored with what's playing on the radio, but music like the 80's I don't get tired of! Thanks for posting this and for giving me a chance to go "back in time."

  • HIt #1 AC, #12 pop, #49 rock in the US. How'd it do in the UK? God bless!
