I would suggest using a Games Workshop wash like Badab Black or Devlan Mud to pick up on all the recesses, really adds good detail to the model. I've only started using Badab Black recently but I used it on my Land Speeder and I'm really happy with the outcome. ^_^

@blackorc813 The colour is the regular GW Ultramarines Blue, but I had sprayed some black primer first onto the model, so it might give u a little different tone of blue if u didn't have the primer you know what I mean?

You should work abit with different techniques, such as drybrushing or layering and so on, because to me it looks like you're only using flat colors. If you're fairly new to painting miniatures I recommend and investment in the "How to paint Citadel Miniatures" from Games Workshop. I got it, and I think it's kickass whether you're a beginner or a veteran

It depends quite much about where you live. In Finland (it's quite expensive here) they cost about 250 at maximum, that may also contain some of my terrain costs

It does matter of course but everyone of the armies are made to be as good as others. Every army has their own disadvantages and advantages but the army you will have depends on your gaming style. Chaos might be your choice, however, you might want to snipe your enemy down with the Tau. Space Marines are the most popular army but that's because they are very convertable and their advantages are nicely balanced. That's way I chose them. You could write hundreds of pages about this but you decide.

Don't paint it as one piece, paint it as turret, sidesponsons, and stuff like that and then glue it. Don't glue turret, that is a lot more easier to transport without it. Ohh.. and make an Annihilator.. 2 lascannons and 1 twinlinked one are a deadly combination.. =)
