You're in the same place that I'm in with this game. I just keep buying more and more models to paint and haven't actually PLAYED the game. Hopefully I get a game or two in this coming week. Great work either way. Fantastic job!
Great work all around, I really like the cohesive color scheme and the painting is top notch. You've probably already added the gloss but one thing you can do is to simply apply brush-on some gloss varnish (I use GW's - one you take from the little bucket).
Definitely do a battle report when you finally play. Even if it's your first battle. I for one am completely unfamiliar with Malifaux and would like to see it in action.
I use my wife's clear nail polish to make wet look on flesh or scales and it is very easy to get go to any drug store or even a place like walmart. look for any that say wet look. some cost around $1 - $3 max. hope this helped you out.
Wow, the figs are really well done, buddy...flopsie!...I have used vallejo gloss varnish...comes in the same bottle as the paints...hope you to get play the game soon and put those awesome figures out on the table...All good things to you in the New Year...Jim.
There are tons of gloss varnishes available. Ard coat from GW, Tamiya has some, Testors etc. You can find them at any hobby shop, art supplies place, model shops. Any kind of gloss varnish... the bottle should say gloss varnish specifically.
Awesome figures Dev! I wish we could see close ups, those are too good for wide shots! You can use the gw red wash or red paint and tint the gloss varnish and it will look close to glistening bloody muscles then.
Hey DEVSTRO! Happy new year buddy. Wow man. Those ALL look spectacular. Your figure painting has always been impressive. Don't remember seeing how "you" paint vids. Just the vids showing your figs like this one. Want to see how you do things man.
you can use something from Tamiya .. its a blood red gloss type of goo ... bloody brilliant stuff .... amazing looking crew. you NEED that totem for The Hag, you could use the box set mini-dolls, but either way, the totem is a must ... have fun playing your game. Cheers, Viv
