LOL, For riding alone, no load, and having fun, I would prefer the bike. For ease of maintenance, hauling a load, or taking the family, I would have to go with the Argo.
The two are built for entirely different purposses, kinda like comparing a Street Bike to a Pickup :-)
Depending on the terrain, sometimes the quad is better, but the quad will never haul the load that an Argo will haul.
In these conditions, the Argo rarely gets stuck, but it is possible, it's almost the opposite of a quad, in that the more you load it, the less likely you are to get stuck. To a point, of course ;-)
Actually, we had brought friends in with us and needed the extra capacity of the quad (I drove the friends out the day before we came out). The quad is my wifes, and although I told her we could leave it in the bush, she chose to drive it out (she has been making this run on a quad for over 10yrs). She is quite good at it.
The "Mud Slingers" do help alot, but they are the only ones I have ever seen on a quad. One of those things that just never caught on, expensive too.
Great video,I like that you always take the family. Which machine would you prefer if you could only have one? The honda or the argo?

Although the honda 300 is a great atv(I own one) the argo seems to be a far more capable atv. Does the argo seem to get stuck as much as the honda?

i bet you all go through bearings and brakes like they are going out of style on the atv and the argo

lol
Bearings YES, Brakes NO.

good break seals eh?
mccormickchainsaw 3 years ago
missed this comment....
Argo brakes are on the trans, and so don't have/need seals.
Quad has gears, so don't worry about brakes too much. Front brake seals are garbage, back seal works pretty good.

oh okay argo did there homework on those machines i face the same problem with my front brakes

P.S.
You just can't beat a honda. from 2000 down to the 80's, they are built for this stuff.
Newer stuff always breaking and getting stuck!

lol, I like the older machines too. Mine is an '89 3004x4, and wifes is a '96. Even though mine is really worn out, I still like it best.

Superb.........but why does your spouse have to do all the hard work???? :o)
Those are quite the "cheese cutters" mounted on the quad tires. Looks like they help quite a bit in that swampland.
Kudos to you for always involving the whole family; not always easy but very admirable!!!
