  • definitely 20 minutes/40 years

  • Wow, I remember watching this video when it was posted, that was almost two years ago now. Little did I know that this song would go on to become one of my all time favourites. Long live Isis!

  • this song rules

  • is that guitar GOLD? what kind is it? anyone have a link to them?...this song rules!

  • Phenominal

  • the new album kicks ass

  • ISIS shows are so much fun, and they are usually really cheap, like 10 bucks. Thats such a deal.

  • Isis are just so powerful, they amaze me more every time I listen to them!

  • this song is fuckin epic.

  • yeah this is 20 minutes/40 years, if you read aarons blog he mentions these videos

  • Listen to studio version of 20 Minutes / 40 Years, and then we'll see. :)

  • It's fucking beautiful I have it already

  • His clean vocals sound really good compared to older Isis songs.

  • its a must have album for sure.

  • The only thing I hate about Isis' songs is that they end at some point.

  • That's one of the best things about this type of band. The abrupt stop. It's powerful

  • awesome basssound!

  • I might be waaaay behind the times here, but it looks like Michael Gallagher's playing a Travis Bean now...

  • The sheer energy in this song is unbelievable.

Haunting slow bass and tempo and explodes into apocalyptic doom!

I am so glad they've somewhat come back to their roots and still stayed true to they're sound.

  • saw this in sheffield - absoloutely amazing.

the cd version is out may 5th, and the limited edition vinyl version is out april 21st.

  • so this is definitely the actual song??

  • God, I can't wait!

  • when does the new album come out?

  • ISIS - "Wavering Radiant" out May 5, 2009

  • April 21st.

  • good song, i hope the bassguitar is just as prominent on the studio version

  • mikes new guitar is sweet. Custom made by electric guitar company.

  • 3:18 = epic

  • goddamn. unspeakable. :)

  • holy shiit!!

that bass riff is insane, and wat the fk is that other sound!!

  • why would anyone care how little, or how many, notes it consisted of?

me, i'm listening for the sound, not the technicalities.

  • that would be the clifford on sampling/keyboard...sounds so cool, very reminiscent of neurosis.

I love the new sound so fucking awesome they keep on getting better.

  • oh fuck yes! I just read on Lambgoat that this album will drop in May and is titled "Wavering Radiant." this song rocks!

  • beautiful. haunting. my only MUST OWN album of '09.

  • Shrinebuilder?

  • New Isis, Mastodon, and SHRINEBUILDER! Lots of good things on the horizon

  • shrinebuilder?? are they good?

if they sound similiar to isis or neurosis i'll definetely check em out.

  • Shrinebuilder featers Scott Kelly from Neurosis, Wino from the Obsessed and St. Vitus, Al Cisneros form Sleep and Om, and Dale Crover from Melvins on drums. Going to be Epic!

  • I know I've already posted about this, but I cannot get enough of this song. The guitar at 4;49 sends chills down my spine. I LOVE that spacey/water like sound these guys make. You won't believe how often I visit Turner's blog to look for any updates on a release of this song, haha. I still remember when Dulcinea was released last year... ah, what a day!

  • Last year? Didn't that come out in '06?

  • oh yeah, haha. i've no idea why i said that, but fuck, has it been that long since Absence already? crazy shit.

  • sounds like the good parts of In the Absence of Truth + more quiet loud stuff. i like it.

  • i agree. parts of it remind me of 'not in rivers ...' which is one of my favourite isis songs. cant wait for the new album

  • Wow. This is going to be an incredible year for music. Lot's of breakthroughs.

  • :) Jump for joy!

  • Swell

  • Sounds fucking killer. A recent update on Aarons blog states that a new track debuted during the Europe tour is titled ''20 minutes/40 year'' - this may be it, it may not be. Either way, kickass.

  • as this is also the song from their studio 01 video on aaron turners youtube page id say it's 99% likely this is the song that belongs to that title.

  • suena a panopticon...jojooj..saludos

  • gracias!!!!

    new album de isis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm glad someone recorded this. Saw them do this in Sheffield and was actually blown away.

I have big expectations for the new CD

  • new song! new era! I'm on the board)

  • if i'm not mistaken, this song gets better with every listen.

  • thanks for this..

  • Too bad you can't really make out the vocals in this video. I remember there was this cool part where he suddenly went from clean vocals to grunts while singing, but you can't realy hear it in this video.

But still thanks! I saw them in Belgium las Wednesday and they played the exact same set as in London.

  • i think i hear that part in here actually

  • thanks so much for putting these up! awesome. 3:53 to 5:20 = eargasm. thanks again.

  • mastadon, isis, new albums back to back... i'm going to blow my load this spring.

  • hell yes.

  • I am so excited about the next album....
