  • laurent garnier man with

  • My worked Cafes master was soldier of WW2! He survived only one of army troop in the philippines! He said often ate a monkey and snake at deep jungle!

He died ALREADY! He often wrote a picture of Buddha!

  • this is a grand masterpiece fit for the Gods!

  • This was the piece that stole my heart and made me fall in love w/all of George Winston's music. Each time I hear it, I get this sense of nostalgia for something lost or in the past, that once was, but will never be. I can never pinpoint it, but am always thrilled to hear his music. :) Thank you s41!

  • This is my mom's music she passed down to me. This is sooo beutiful!

  • George Winston has to be one of my favorite composers. I have been listing to his music sense a little girl back when the 'thing' was owning a CD player!

  • @poncerthedancer But did you have this album on cassette or vinyl before CDs ?

  • @MichaelBoryAlis Cassette!

  • @poncerthedancer Not only is the music ethreal, the picture on the front is mesmerizing.

  • @poncerthedancer yeah buddy!

  • @MichaelBoryAlis Vinyl. I bought it the week it came out and I still have it scratch free. This totally blew me away.

  • Beautiful, and reminds me of that movie An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving, the score is similar.

  • my mom bought this collection and now i listen to it most of the days.

then my mom bought the collection piano sheets and now im staring at it most of the days. confused at all the sharps and flats. wish i could play as well as him.

George Winston your one of my piano gods.

  • @bigfatAMERCANbastard you're probably just jealous you never got any in college.

  • A university friend introduced me to this piece, and from the very first time of listening to it I was hooked. Beautiful is an understatement for just how this sounds.

  • I hate to say this, I probably shouldn't, but I got sooooo many girls in college because I could play this song very well on the piano. I was a tad reprehensible in my youth, I turned out o.k., would never cheat on my wonderful wife, but this song does bring back some memories.

  • @k6musicteacher

    'got' ?

  • I think it was not until I heard this particular piece that I realized I was not completely alone in this world.... I still feel that way about it.... Yes, it is sad, but there is a bit of hopefulness in it... the story is not over... YET! ;)

  • the title of the song is thanksgiving and why does the album cover says december..?

  • Agree with@mediconuclear 1962, and @neptunecello. Although the piece is called "thanksgiving" the melody is nostalgic and melancholic yet beautifully personal for each individual. Neptunecello (see below) hit it on the nail when he stated "There's a nostalgia to it; like you're looking back on something that will never be again". I can expand on this as it brings me back to the exuberant innocence of first love(s), the "what if's" on personal and career choices not taken.

  • I agree, this is a really melancholic piece of music. There's a nostalgia to it; like you're looking back on something that will never be again. Dark! But I still love it. :)

  • @neptunecello Yes.

  • Wow.....this is a creepy piece of music...very dark, the kind where you stand in a snow covered field in the middle of no where, then blow your brains out.......I have his other albums and they are amazing, this one is too dark

  • @SHUGHES1986 how is it dark? i listen to this like every late fall/decemeber

  • haha, I (FLah) play it in the piano :D sooo beautiful! And it's also my favorite album from him.

  • very sentimental, a song from 1982, still feels modern, Great

  • nice

  • BEAUTIFUL! I have four more George Winstons CD's and I recommend them all---so peaceful.

I listened to MONTANA as as drove across Montana this summer on my ipod through my car steo and it was great. JOHN
