Honestly, I think the US movement began the fast music. Matter of fact Exodus was probably one of the fastest. Not trying to get your nationalist undies in a bunch, but that's the facts. Destruction is certainly comparable, but the origins of thrash are American.

They used his riff, so yes, he did contribute to an "official" Exodus album. From what I've heard, Kirk wrote most of the riffs on their demo tape, and a demo tape is what asserts you into the scene.

All I'm saying is Kirk deserves a little respect. I'm not attacking Exodus because they're one of my favorite bands, so don't get your panties in a bunch.
