@MrMuddyBleach I had to search for the MIke Mushok, because they are rare even though they are currently in production. Its pretty awesome. A lot of artists actually use it. Anthony Armstrong from RED plays it, Chris Clonts from decyfer down uses it. And of course Mike Mushok uses it since its his model. And a lot of artists use it as a backup for their USA Baritones.
You guys made my day when I read the e-mail newsletter thing form Fret12 and saw both Sameer from Flyleaf and Ben in the list of artists with video on here! Thanks for making the best guitar community on the web!
I play Drop A# (like Breaking Benjamin's Phobia and Dear Agony album tunings, what he talks about here...) on a "normal" Schecter C1-FR guitar. I use the thickest strings though: 0.012-0.56. Works for me. Anyone care to chime in?

You could have a seven string guitar tuned to Baritone tuning(B,E,A,DF#,B) or for a sevenstring (B,E,A,D,G,B,E) you could use the G instead of the F#, and still be able play songs in standard tuning without changing the guitar and it's tuning, But that's my opinion
don't think so. Because of their longer scale length, baritones have a much higher string tension that you couldn't reach just by putting thicker strings on it.
Ben uses a baritone but he has still a 13 - 68 string-set on his guitar!
Yeah I know but the Low B string on the 7 string has higher tension than a Baritone, the Thicker neck plus the extra string puts even more tension on the neck.
@DROPIt7 that was the same info for the last tour i think....just go to the guitaredge interview and ben says he uses 16-70 guage(idk why you would use 16 guage....13 guage is thick enough >.<
Im sick of listening to Ben talk im gonna listen to him sing!XD thumbs up if you agree

Too bad it's practically impossible to find baritone guitars to try out in a shop somewhere...

7 string are better than Baritone
wmc128 1 year ago
@wmc128 it all depends on what you prefer to play and how you play. personally, i see no point in 7 string guitars.

@Ralenissocold yes now i've seen it. but that's weird! IMO a 16-70 gauge is way too fat, but if he likes it, that's fine....

@DROPIt7 haha i play 12s and i think theyre thick enough but 16s?! Man ben is the man lol
