  • This Song is Me and My Raymond! He passed away of lung cancer only 55, Blonde blue Eyed and Handsome. We were getting married when he died. we were together for 20 years! Love him Forever! Love this song, and the Angels. i sing this too, all the time, and I sing just like her.

  • breath taking!

  • breath taking!

  • Brent441......are you Linda Jankowski? I know this sounds strange to most people who don't know that Linda sang under the name "Brent" with her husband, Sal Russo.

  • This was one of my late uncle's favorite songs, i just now remembered the name of it! I miss him! Thanks!

  • "JUST A CLASSIC" where did it go/////

  • I'm looking for an old song, the title is "Time", I heard "Cher" sang it before but i never heard it from anybody. We have a long playing album of this song but I wish they have this song in a karaoke version. Thanks if you can search this for me!

  • another favorite song of mine, love listening of this beautiful songs from before 50's, 60,s

  • Were things really that good back then? Or do we want to go back for a second chance?

  • Slow dancing to this with the guy I fell in love with. Priceless!! What memories. Thanks.

  • What a sweet song, been awhile since I heard it.

  • Wish this was the music played today --

  • WOW THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

  • dybbuk4640,

Winky Dink forever? Are you referring to the kids TV show that was on a Pittsburgh TV station back in the early sixties.

  • Sweet song!!!!!!!

  • good god, how lovely

  • great song, great group, this was great music which is so obvious. these shows on public television are just great, the angels are singing in north east pa soon. Original lead singer I believe. just love this music.

  • Linda Jankowski was a great lead singer - - and good looking, too.

  • "If a dream could last forever ......

this is just how it would be ......

angelic tones from the past ....

are like a dream to me"

  • We grew up in such a great time. We can never go back but at least we have the music from then.

  • Linda Jankowski ...still the greatest voice ever

So did The Angels Group with all these fantastic songs!!

I was lucky enough to be living my teen years thru all of this great music!

  • true... i live in WORCESTER MA

  • KZN7404 and lincoln68508-You both are so very right. You could not say it any better. I know-I was there. When you here this song, you know how lucky you were to be around at that wonderful time. Kids today really don't know what they missed. Staycott

  • I have a problem with the Concept of "GOD FEARING".. What , exactly , is that supposed to mean ??? As in, OK, GOD comes walking into my house..... Or, Jesus,

for that matter....... Am I supposed to begin trembling ? Freak out ? Be fearfull ?

Of WHAT ??? If it's , GOD the Father,,,, are you afraid of your Father ?

First of all,,, it ain't gonna happin,,,, ever...... If you're a Christian, well, ok...

If being one causes fear, in any fashion, well,, um,,, go for it....

    Me ? I'm fearless.

  • FANTASTIC SONG!

    ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE!

  • This song is reminiscent of a boy who left me and how he broke our hearts. He said we'd get married, and then left us. John, you sure broke my heart. Now in dreams u come back to marry me, somehow, just as in life, it does not happen. I thought my broken heart was healed until I hear this song, I know now that it Never healed. My gosh she looks just like you.

  • the older I get, the more I long for my youth and ignorance.

  • Hi SherryAnn68. Wish we could go back to a simpler time. I would love for my children to see the time that you and i were in.But i'm glad i made it home to have my kids. So guys did not make it home. Thanks. Really love this song. KZN7404

  • Although Linda Jankowski (who sang lead on Till & Cry Baby Cry) and Peggy Santiglia (lead on My Boyfriend's Back) were exceptional lead singers, sisters Jiggs and Bibbs Allibut were the voices that gave the Angels their unique sound.

  • close your eyes and you can be where ever you want to be!

that's where this song takes me, to my wonderful years of still young and in love for the 1st time!

    Fantastic

  • my wedding song 1967

  • @1945bm Wow, how cool and so romantic..

  • @1945bm Wow, that's cool. What a romantic song you chose.

  • @1945bm Congratulations on your dowop wedding did jerry vale sing it?

  • @1945bm How nice!! Congrats!

  • Slow dancing, head resting on his shoulder while wrapped in his arms. OMG, the memories this song brings back. The youngsters today don't know the true feeling of romance dancing to a song such as this.

  • The best

  • LOVE,LOVE this wonderful song!!

  • what pipes!

  • great tune from a super trio- one of the best in the annals!

  • superb!

  • Puts chills Up & Down my spine..chicken skin all over..Young love, first love, filled with real emotion! Peace Via Music

  • In memory of my Bronx boy John M. TILL we meet again.

  • the words were so loving to the music then. Now it is raunch music on the radio.

  • like

    ANGELS" TOM D BRICK,NJ

  • LIVING IN THE 60S WERE THE BEST TIMES FOR THE BEST MUSIC EVER, I LIVED OUT AT SPB, DIDNT KNOW THAT IT WAS THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE, THESE KIDS TODAY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE MISSING......................................

  • @1badls6 I agree, the 60's was a great time and had the best music. Not like the junk we have today!

  • Talk about your Baby Boomer slow-dance songs! This is probably the finest arrangement of this song ever done, and lots have recorded it. The Angels were a wonderful girl group, probably under-rated, and I wish they would have done a lot more recording of the teen song genre. Their "Wow Wow Wee" and "My Boyfriend's Back" are precious reminders of the terrific music we grew up with in the 1960s.

  • this song is MORE than just a class!

so many memories behind this song!

    Thanks

    Cynthia

  • I went to Hillside High school with Linda and Sal and still have the yearbook with Linda's graduation picture. She was a year ahead of me.. Linda was my second wife's cousin. She had a beautiful voice then and still does.

  • @zman079201 I would love to see that picture. What beautiful voices. Thanks for sharing.

  • @zman079201

My girlfriend of 10 years was in Linda's class of '62, Hillside High School.

  • sad this wasn't a big hit i love them

  • Once a week , I just have to listen to this song!!

There are so many memories that was in this song!

always a big part of my life!

  • I have to listen to this at least once a month.

  • They met and fell in love, just two Bronx kids, who met late in life, but through their love of these oldies, thought they would be together "forever" dedicated to Kathy and her John.

  • You did a good thing, Brent, for bringing back many great memories from this era. I've already listened to this 5 times and still can't get enough of it. Thanks.

  • Se me hace que yo reencarne demasiado rápido, Me cae que si... XD

  • School dances in the early 60s...slow dancing with your head on his shoulder, so romantic and sweet--kids have no idea what they are missing in this day and age!! I wouldn't trade my memories for all the video games, xboxes, and all the rest of the garbage that keep kids "amused" now.

  • it is a really good song and i wish they wrote and sang songs like in the 60s and around the time they made this song to

  • I'am going to thank a FRIEND for sending this song my way

I loved this song and love it today!

  • What memories this song brings in my life,

Thanks my friend for sending thiis my way!!

    Cynthia

  • Wonderful haunting song. Thanks for posting...Love it!

  • makes ya miss all the school dances

  • I just wish I could go back to the 50's and 60'. yes there, are all kinds of things now but it just can't be like it was. Life was so simple, if you were not there you sure missed one great time. Life will never be that simple. One who knows.

  • @KZN7404 I sure agree with you. I was there and I am glad I was raised in that era too. You're so right how things were simpler and sweeter back then and it was wonderful to be a part of it.

  • @KZN7404 you are so right. We were so passionate and naive. Life was sweet. We ran to Woolworth's to get the newest 45 single record! At least we have this amazing vehicle to continue listening to this music. I'm grateful for all of you that share your music collections.

  • Right now, when I listen to this song, my mine tells me I'am back in High School!!!

    Lord what memories,

A Friend sent this to me today!!!

    Thanks my FRIEND,

    FROM A FRIEND!!!!!

  • i wish blah blah blah blah i remember when blah blah blah blah...nostalgia. great song.

  • To Paul: I was born the day we met~~~

  • THIS SONG BRINGS BACK ONE GOOD MEMORY. IM SORRY IT HAD TO FADE AWAY

  • Used to like to dance to this at Boulevard Dances and dances at NE Catholic when it was open. Only bad thing was when I requested it they would play "Till Then" (also a good song) instead. Also I would never get picked for a ladies choice :(

But the music was good and understandable. Memories come flooding back with the oldies. Better times, I miss them.

  • September of 1961 and this song was a number one hit. Another great slow dance record followed by "Cry Baby Cry in1962 and Thank you and Goodnight" in 1963, two more hits for the Angels. Romantic stuff for teenagers and young adults in an era that is irreplaceable. Just ask the 75 million Baby Boomers who lived it !

  • @rvictor64 Originally Roger Williams did that in 1958, and then Tony Bennett later sang his version of that in 1960 for the LP "To My Wonderful One". That was year before they did their version of a great song.

  • @MagcialWorldOfMusic : For many of us that era was the best of times---if for no other reason then we were young with a life time ahead of us and great expectations. Best Regards, Ron

  • Great interpretation of this song!

  • This was my parents wedding song and I loved it so much it was my wedding song in 1985. I love it.

  • how the heck did they not get pimples then. were pimples like just invented or something?! its so unfair...

but i love the song!!!! love the angels! wish they had meaningful and slow songs like this today. only can find a couple every now and then..

  • Look how pretty their faces are!!!

  • I MISS THEM

  • Perfect dance record from my junior high days - how I remember how sweet my girlfriends smelled and how we loved to dance ... gee, great memories - thanks!

  • So lovely. I wish this kind of music was still on the radio!

  • If you love this song, check out the rendition by Shirley Bassey. You have to hear it to believe it.

  • To my husband ... I love you!

  • @askmewhy51 Best message I have EVER seen on U Tube. Hope he gets it (I am geussing he did)

  • i work on FIFTIES DINER CALLED THE FIVE AND DINNER... THATS HOW I GOT TO KNOW THIS SONG,, ITS SO TOUCHING AND AMAZIN,,,,,, EXPRESSION OF LOVE AND NOSTALGIA ......

  • @MADONNANIAC Your diner sounds so nostalgic. I'll bet it's a cozy place with GREAT food!

  • @LouisDE1 Come to Phoenix. We've got several. Enjoy the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Your cholesterol count will rise by the dozens, but when you finally get to the pie and ice cream, you won't even care.

  • @Azishome @Azishome Every time I am hungry I think of your diners and Madonnaniac's. Chicken fried steak--pie and ice cream-you guys must have invented "comfort food" Our food here seems so bland. Who cares about cholesterol. It's when you can't eat anymore that you need to worry (but don't tell my doctor i said that--hee hee).

  • @LouisDE1 LOL. You're making me hungry. I hope your week goes great.

  • @LouisDE1 my dinnar has great gravy ck fried chicken,,, love the milk shake.. we have every flavor delicious breakfast/ im here again listening to this fantastic sad tune hahahah

  • @MADONNANIAC The fast food chains have taken over my area. The good old fashioned diners just don't seem able to compete anymore. Nobody wants to wait for the meals to be prepared. They just want to run inside or go thru the drive-in windows so they don't waste a minute getting back on their cell phones.

  • @LouisDE1 we had five or six dinners around.. macdonalds is one block from us.. so wendys.. but we still try to create that athmosphere.. rasberry lime ricky,,, jukeboxes,, old fashioned milk shakes. you would have fun.....

  • @LouisDE1 i heard it again this week.. its so like an era when people believe in love

  • I love this. sniff sniff. Brings back memories.

  • What a song!

  • My favorite thing thing about this fantastic song is their New York accents.

  • @qao938 I think they were from Hillside NJ, my best friend went to school with them.

  • What a classic!

  • Thank you so much for posting this song. I'm 29 but as a child my Mum played this song for me from her record collection and I ALWAYS loved it.

  • @Bannion77 IM 29 TOOOOO

  • This was my wedding song, and I was married in 1998. ANd it was my parent's wedding song and they were married in 1971. Beautiful song.

  • Very Beautiful...Thanks

  • One of the greatest, most beautiful and romantic musical creations ever!! Thanks for making this available.

  • Some times when I listen to songs from my youth it hurts, Only because times are so dark and sad. These songs are a reminder of lighter, kinder and simpler times. For me I felt safe and loved. The times were more innocent, and people had manners, were polite. I can remember America was more of a God fearing Nation. I'm a boomer and all I have left is memories. That is why it hurts so much, there is not a thing I can do. I can not conform to the worlds way of acting and thinking. I am a Christian.

  • @lincoln68508 I couldn't agree with you more..I was only 3 when this came out..everyone I know of says the same thing about this time as you do..the way we're going, fifty years from now it's going to be like Bladerunner...as for me I take my refuge in sacred choral music...I sing it and listen to it...you might want to do the same..it's a quiet movement but accelerating the last fifteen years..

  • @lincoln68508 You are so right. Thank you for your honest post. Thought I only housed these emotions. Thanks once again.

  • @lincoln68508 I know "god fearing" is an idiomatic expression; God should not be feared. We should all act righteously because we naturally know it is wrong to do otherwise. There are neighborhoods by me where people still say hello to strangers; as if in a time capsule. The new generation is quite anti-social. Very sad.

  • Linda Jansen and her group received a standing ovation at the end of their set last night in White Plains, NY, concluding with this most beautiful song and The Angels first hit.

  • I was there also artkest,great show

  • yes lc in llansdale pa reminds of when my mna joe icorn sai wanna dance after a friday nite bball,,,yep he scoed 16 points tha t nite and a fwe more later

  • I have always loved this song and Linda Jansen's voice. What bothers me is why is her picture not up on the u tube screen. This is a picture of Peggy (Linda's replacement) and the Albutt sisters. Can the person who posted this photo please give Linda her just "desserts" and post her photo. After all it is her singing!!!!

  • i agree with you 100 % 4everdoowop.......

  • Great selection, my eyes were always closed as I danced to this wonderful song.. Ladies Choice!!

  • It's the winter of 1962 at a Friday nite (after the basketball game) dance at East Juniata High School . Disc jockey, Bob North, from WKVA radio, is getting ready to play this song (as he always did) for the last dance of the evening. I've found my favorite gal and can't wait for the music to start !!!!

  • @snowcat0045 Sounds like a wonderful memory. Memories to last a lifetime.

  • @snowcat0045

comme en dirait en FRANCE, c'est une belle histoire...

  • @snowcat0045 WOW!!!! Your comment was wonderful, I think I was at the same dance but only it was in Boston...

  • this is a great song talk about slow dancing i used to do a dance called the fish to this and many other slow dances does anyone remember the dance called the fish?

  • originally from Brooklyn but now living in North Merrick

  • Zelena912 from North Merrick you must know that im from Merrick. The real question is You remember the dance called the Fish? WOW did you grow up in Bklyn reply at your convience

  • @Merrick11566 Hi I am from Boston and am trying to remember that dance you are referring to as the "fish" I know we used to do something called the "slow/fast dance". We would spend hours trying to copy the slow dance that they did on American Bandstand.

  • Wow !!! Stunning orchestration

    Stunning song...

    Kittielips is correct.

  • i wish they sing and write songs like this today

  • @kevinkeenan1960 SO DO I

  • @kevinkeenan1960 That's really sweet, you have great taste!

  • This is a beautifully written song; thank you.

    5*****.

    Jennie.

  • I cried... and always do when I hear it :(

  • Such a beautiful song! Thanks for posting it!

  • My wedding song and i wasn't even born when this came out.

  • One of my all time favorites ! Brings back great memories of close dancing with pretty girls at many backyard parties at the time !

  • back yard parties........WOW ....that brings them back !

  • Hard to beat this!

  • So amazing.

  • THE ANGELS GREAT MUSIC LOVE IT.

  • THE ANGELS GREAT MUSIC

  • This song used to make me cry. Such beautiful lyrics.

  • Angels also sang Cry Baby Cry and My Boyfriend's Back...but Till is my favorite. I appreciate it even more now than back then, when I was in high school in Pittsburgh.

  • ok...im 22 and i like this stuff (first heard it on an doo wop itunes podcast) but the name was different...instead of the "Angels" it said "The Fabulous Angels" which one is it?

  • It's just Angels, hon.

  • Brent441 I would like to thank you so much for uploading this song. I last heard this song when I was a Teenager and ever since then I tried to figured out who sang this special song. and today I finally found it. Thank you

  • Dedicated to a couple that met late in life, she had found her soulmate, he left without a word, she left this world saying his name. Dedicated to John and his Kat.

    2002

  • this song reminds me when i was 13 randy uzzilino walked in the school dance i fell in love

  • Fabulous recording. But the video is a bit deceptive since the lead singer on "'Til" was Linda Jansen. The pictures here show the subsequent lead singer, Peggy Santiglia, who sang lead on "My Boyfriend's Back."

  • I saw the Angels at a small club (Villa Lafayette) in New York State about 1963 or 64. The lead singer was a beautiful young girl with, if I remember correctly, dark hair. They sang "Till" and "Cry Baby Cry". It sounded original to me, in fact mesmerizing. Did Linda Jansen ever have dark hair?

  • For my old Boyfriend

  • One of the best ever!!!

  • very wholesome !

  • Beautiful girls. Beautiful song.

  • not scary in the bad sense, just thinking back and remembering how I thought it was just that he couldn't appreciate "good" music. Truth is, I'd give anything in the world to hear his voice again. I miss him so....

  • This song gives me goose bumps. I swear, I appreciate it more now than back in the 60s! One of the most beautiful songs ever...love it. They just don't make music like this anymore. These young kids just don't know...what they missed! Now the crummy rap. It's not even music!

  • heartily agree, but you know what's scary????? My Dad used to say that when I was a Beatle's fan in 65!!!! Woops, I think I hear his voice again! LOL

  • Why is it scary? Because you have to admit your dad was right. Funny. They have a way of being that a lot.

  • I am right there with you....inniocent, pure and just nice.

  • I like this song (born in 91)..

  • The flip-side "A Moment Ago" was also good. In fact if you slowed "A Moment Ago" to 33 1/3 RPM, it became a male doo-wop.

  • i love this song !!!!!!!

  • i guess its my age but the videos dont matter as long as the music is real y00sta
