  • two things, what part of Alberta are you from, cuz im a Calgarian, and the second is, how did you put in dual exhaust, because my 2002 has the setup for it, but the fuel pump appears to be in the way of the right side. also, my muffler appears to be different than most others, what is the setup on yours? (centre offset, dual offsets, right, left...)

  • ok ok guys. the 6 isnt the manly 8 tht everyone loves but i raced one a while ago... thing sounded like a dodge viper. now i love my growl. but that thing was sweet. id get a 6 in a heartbeat if it sounded like this one or the one i was against. dont doubt em either they still shit on hondas

  • Why does everyone with a gt think they need to pick on 6's? I mowed lawns for a couple years to get my 2000 v6, worked my ass off doing it and its a nice car. Why can't we all just ban together and hate hondas?

  • I just put a 2 1/2in catback H-pipe with dual magnaflow gt shorties on my V6 and it sounds awesome. Don't knock the V6's. They have better weight distibution for handling, and you can actually drive them year round. Besides the stock fox bodied 5.0's only made 225hp, 250hp if it was an H.O. and not flogged (and all of them were). Later model 3.8L's make about 200-210hp and have huge low end torgue because they were built for vans that weighed 3x more.

  • V6 can burn a v8 it all depends on driver and car. I got a fiberglass hod now so it takes off much weight. Im leaving stock v8 mustangs

    My friend had an 05 v6 mustang, traded it for an 06 LS2 GTO.. makes double the power.. and is 300 dollars cheaper on insurance than the Mustang a year.. tell me how that works..

  • for all those bashin the car, Keep in mind Ford built the mustang as an affordable Muscle car. Thus reducing overall power. BUT the Mustang has always has amazing potential. Search for Essex Super Six Mustang.

  • I really have no opinion on the V8 or the V6 I like both. Although given the chance I would take a V8 over the V6 but I would still take the V6.

  • V6 has cheaper insurance and better mpg, not to mention cheaper and easily modded....so I would get that prbly but the V8 is amazing in every other way so its kinda a tough call haha

    no its not. v6's are slow and nobody respects them .. insurance isnt even that much worse with a v8 and there not bad on gas at all. Any car can be easily modified but when you have a gt you dont even need to modify it plus it actually sounds good with the exhausdt done up..

  • @leafsrule16 na i have a very fast V6 mustang, and off the line it takes a GT and i can lead it for awhile easlily taking it in a 1/4, but of course its got the higher end speed which is the only reason it caught up and also cuz i proved my point and stopped gunning

  • yes cause the V6 camaro puts the v6 mustangs to shame.. even the SS camaro which knocks around the price for a GT is sad.425hp to 315hp. im not makein fun of the mustangs i have a V6 with this same exhaust,coldair,throttle,heade­rs and still the new camaros are amazing. im dissipointed in ford this year...

  • @ouchie3 So true. I have a 04 Mustang (V6) and my buddy has a 78 camaro z28 and he always talks shit on how he can beat me when all he has is flowmaster exhaust when I have JBA shorty headers and a cold air intake.

  • Guys with normal GT v8 always saying why get a v6..why dont you guys get a cobra or mach 1..regular GT's are basic race cars.

  • If any Mustang is a basic race car, it'd be this V6. Yeah, they have less displacement, but the engine block is super light, revs higher, and reacts to boost better, as in, it's more efficient.

  • well everything except the revs higher...may be true. =D the v6 redlines around 5 grand.

  • That gauge in the car says 5,000 RPM, but they can easily rev to 6,000 stock. I'm not sure about the bigger 4.0 though. With the heavier pistons, might be lower.

  • redline on the 4.0 is 6000 rpm

  • Sure the redline is set at 6,000 RPM, but due to that shorter crankshaft, it has a far greater rpm range than any comparable sized V8.

  • i dont doubt that people change the 4.0's rev limiter higher than the stock 6,000

  • MagnaFlow Sounds The Best I've Got it on mine, and for all the V-6 haters I have a 2003 V-6 and an 2004 Cobra I drive the 6 more then the Cobra, it will walk all over anything your mommys got atleast its not a piece of shit honda with a fucking coffee can for an exhaust.

  • and thats supposed to be impressive?.... my old 1.3l YES 1.3l did 100 in 3rd gear and was pulling well until around 150. Granted it only got 19mpg highway but it was a 100% stock Turbo rotary engine. I never knew ricers could own a mustang HAHAHA

  • I have magnaflows on my 6 as well. Did you leave the y pipe on? I went true dual. Sounds good, much louder, until it gets to the high rpms or you step on the gas hard. Then it just sounds like a fart. It does even out though after a few secs on the high rpms.
