The donkey probably never experienced weightlessness before. I am sure he enjoyed the weight off his shoulders. Donkeys are essential for the survival of many cultures, from Asia to South America to the Middle East. There will be good and bad owners, but I don't see any cruelty here, except maybe they could have two donkeys to cart the produce. Perhaps they cannot afford it. People in rich countries, haven't got a clue, I guess. Many pretend to be concerned to cover their prejudice.

You probably think nothing of cows, sheep, chickens being bred to go on your tables. Pigs and chickens are bred in huge stock pens and live miserable lives. animals are illtreated in the West too. Dogs and cats are left to survive in streets. There is cruelty all around the world. The donkey is capable of pulling very heavy weights but the load has to be distributed properly. the guys took the weight off and let the animal down. Stop being so judgemental. The people don't have the luxuries that you have in the West.The people as well as the animals live a tough life. Get over it or go to their country and try to do better.

the only cruel thing about this is they think they can load a two wheeled cart with all of it and expect it not to tip back. what is not cruel is how they all worked together to pull the donkey down. i am an animal lover and this is cruel but not cruel, and as you saw, some of the load was taken off, and the donkey was fine. dont think your going to start an animal rights movement alright. these are working animals. but they still get fed, other wise the donkey wouldnt be so healthy looking.
