I was stationed at Raf Bentwaters/Raf Woodbridge in December1980, and I think I remember that early in 1981 there was an influx of LSD in the surrounding town of Ipswich, I think the Gov. put it there to dicredit anyone who may have seen this incident

Larry Warren's account of this event has been challenged by others who were present; his testimony, unfortunately, has served as fuel for the "debunkers". If you read what Larry Warren claims happened on the third night of UFOs at the base, it becomes clear that he's not a credible witness at all. He claims that he was abducted and ended up in a vast underground base, manned by both humans and aliens. After being exposed to some kind of unexplained energy he developed a streak of gray hair on his head, which is a silly science fiction cliche. Clearly, the third night of UFOs at Rendlesham Forrest did not occur, and this guy is a pathological liar.

This is probably one of the most reliable events that have ever happened regarding UFO's. I would stack any of the 3 major witnesses up against any of the skeptics in regards to their honor, courage, and life accomplishments. The other major witness Jim Penniston has won more military awards than any doubter on this board.

Personally, I don't think it's a hoax story. What is a problem though, are the witnesses who got the idea that they'd like to embellish the events for whatever reasons. This discredited the initial accounts and made the whole story look flakey when in fact it wasn't to begin with at least.

I wish this was true but unfortunately its bullshit. The story keeps changing, the description of the object(s) varies wildly. They can't all be talking about the same thing! Parts of the story are complete nonsense. The idea that British police officers would be involved is ridiculous, and if they were someone would have com forward by now. Larry Warren was involved,other witnesses saw him out there on the third night,(read their testimony )he had medical damage done to his eyes,"optical retinal burn",he has his medical record to prove this and it happened on that night,why would he keep going with his story after 27 years? soil samples were taken on the sight of the landing and tested independently,the soil was very different,the MOD said background radiation was "significantly higher" in the landing areas,their words not mine.

Sorry your very wrong,Kevin Conde has admitted his prank was done after Christmas 1980 during an exercise and wasnt responsible for the incidents which did happen over three nights 25/26 to28/29 December,there were no exercises done over the xmas period as the base was on alert condition due to the soviet threat to Poland.The ufo's overflew the twin bases and forest beaming down pencil thin beams of light(police cars cant do that)this was witnessed by dozens of military personnel.

??? I'm not certain what you mean by your response. I take it that you are implying that GB would have all knowledge of nuclear arms in their country. Quite the contrary. Intermediate nukes can be discerned as 2000# bombs able to be loaded onto many bombers or even tactical bomber plane (i.e the F111 of the era) and no one would ever know the difference. They don't necessarily have to be missles(which would be very easily detected) Intermediate only indicates deployment distance.

I have proven Larry to not tell the truth in incidents outside of this and I have also talked to him over the year. His story chages a lot and I think he is no longer, if he ever was, a creditable witness. I honestly believe that larry has some issues and your right no one there says he was there. I knew most of th players involved. I have talked to col halt since this like back in 2002 and he says larry was not there. I would tend to believe him.

There's no disputing that Rendlesham Forrest happened, but Warren was absolutly, 100% not there; he worked on the base but he was not present at the inncident. Those that WERE there said that for weeks afterwards, the guy kept pestering the personnel who were out in the forest on the two nights about what happened; read Georgina Bruni's "You Can't Tell The People". The guy was back at the base when it happened, NOT in the forrest where the thing landed.

Everybody, both investigators and skeptics acknowledge that they guy is at best a fantasist and at worse a liar.
