  • -- wow, so big

  • @shadowawmega Shame nobody's ever said that to you eh ;-)

  • It looks like it might be in the same family of spider??

Is the red back nasty poisonous?

  • @MrChinaStar if it bites u yer it will kill you if u dont get an anti venom fast anuf

  • @krazbar1 Nice! That's good argument for nailing that little bugger flat with the heal of a boot !

  • @MrChinaStar ... id never kill 1 id move it to a safe place where there is no human life

  • @krazbar1 thats not always true lol i know people who have survived without anti venom

  • @HxXFromFirstToLastXx just scaring him :P

  • @krazbar1 I've been bitten. I didn't get antivenom. There is a RIDICULOUS amount of superstition surrounding all spiders but particularly the venomous ones. Only a third of the people bitten by redbacks get any symptoms at all. They have never killed a healthy person unless old or sick. There is immense pain which is the worst symptom. The symptoms if they do occur will take up to an hour to take effect - plenty of time to get to hospital. Good on ya for not killing them! :) Stay safe though!

  • @latrokatipo Sorry but my cuzin made that comment ^^ i know alot about animals im studieing to be a vet :)

  • In the state these are called Southern Blacks

  • @MrChinaStar In the states, These don't exhist bro. You're thinking of the southern black widow, not a redback.

  • i used to find black widows and these redback under my basketball goal. we moved not too long ago and we didnt take our backetball goal for that reason.

  • i hate them spiders, i have a table with six chairs and i found one under everychair + 1 under my barbiequ, is this normal or is that too many

  • 這隻是赤背蜘蛛,是有毒的!(牠是黑寡婦的近親)

  • i found like two today. in ma house. one was pretty small and it was on the wall so i got some of the mortein spray and it fell down and i discovered like 2 more down where it fell there was like a small hole. or some shit. might be a nest. any1 tell me what i could and should do about it?

  • KILL IT YOU ENGLISH CUNT

  • @califuz English? you fail

  • That is the biggest fuckin' redback I have ever seen! I didn't know they can get that big. Damn!

  • are redbacks venemous?

  • @Johnathanmaturino YES REALLY VENEMOUS

  • @LoughieSquarepants

Yes venemous but wont kill you unless your immune system is low or you have a heart condition

  • @BlackLollieLuv depends how young you are aswell and my mum had been bitten and it is terrible it bit her 3 times

  • OOAOAOAOAH!

The ones at my place eat bugs n small lizards...

YOURS EAT HORSES... It was like redbackasaurus

  • Damn, thats a big one, ive counted at least 10 or so, in and around my house....habent been bothered killing any of em, reason, they catch flies, mosquitoes, and other annoying flying fucks.

  • @MistrzKubica what if it bites ur or some1 in ur house?

  • Oh I hate spiders so much. The way they move is so creepy.

  • i cought either one of thos. or a black widow 1 month ago.... it had a bow on the bellie like a black widow, but on its back it had red dots in a line. so maby a red back and a black widow fucked....hmmm idk lol i live in northern michigan if that helps at all

  • @passwordguy1 Different to an Australian redback. On those, the female has a solid bright red stripe, the males have a red stripe in a more muted colour. She eats the male after mating with him

  • Redbacks are for Australian REDNECKS.

  • Check out me holding a red back spider!

    Cheers

  • thats a big fucker alright

  • burn it

  • If any spider gets near me, im so DEAD! Im so afraid of spiders

  • @BadKitty9234

A makeshift flamethrower will solve all your spider-related problems.

  • Doesn't need to be extermintated, it is away from people..

Please accept my video response Of Me Handling A Red Back Spider.

It will show how red backs are not as bad as everyone thinks...

    Cheers,

    SPIDERPUG

  • KILL THEM ALL !

  • If ant spider comes near me, it's DEAD!!!

  • That's friggin' huge!!!

  • @adventureCalls The biggest redbacks have an abdomen about as big as a frozen pea. Total leg span on one that big would be about 30-35mm. You should see the Huntsman spider, now that's big! some have a leg span the size of a dinner plate

  • thts the one tht bit SPIDERMAN lol let it bite u and get spidey powers lol messin lol

  • Ugh, I have those in my garden... I know you may say not to kill it, but my teacher was sleeping and got bitten by one, I really don't think she was doing anything to 'disturb' it and yet she still was bitten.

  • film ur redbacks and bring em to 2 morton street east maittland NSW 2323

  • Ok, so it's huge. But in this video it's really hard to tell with out something to give it perspective. Could you put your hand in next time?

  • All the red backs I have seen are only small, that was HUMUNGOUS!! It was a red back though, tell em a mile off

  • So sick of everyone saying "Kill it! Kill it!... They said that about the tasmanian tiger till it was wiped out also a non agressive creature that will only attack in defense, looking after pups or searching for food. same as the Dingo. A Redback will live it's whole life if undisturbed in its dwelling and you numbnuts find them and kill them... why don't you remove the roof of your house on the off chance it falls on you.

  • Does any1 no the names of really big spiders?

  • @xXxDancingxQueenxXx Look up the Huntsamn spider, the bird eating spider and the tarantula. All three are pretty big compared to the creepy crawlies you normally see around the house

  • @xXxDancingxQueenxXx The bird eating spider, the huntsman and the tarantula; each is a lot bigger than the regualr creepy crawlies you see around the house

  • that spider is a black widow

  • no that is a red back the black widow does not have a red stripe on its back ...but its the same family tho except that the red back is suppose to be a bit more dangerous

  • once i visited my cousion in a apartment and woke up to see a spider on the window and i was like HOLY SHIT and walked outside and they wher everywhere on ever window i was lke SSHHIITT hey go get my BB GUN

  • soz that comment was ment 2 b a reply 2 that JRGrange25 guy

  • Black Widows and Red Backs get mixed up a hell of a lot ha. All I know is both of them can fuck you up XD

  • that is call a black widow spider...

  • ur a fucking dick head its a red back

  • omg every body i live in australia its a red back here and in america and stuff its a black widow get your facts right

  • i remember seeing a massive one on a fence in my backyard when i was like 5 havnt seen one like it since, probbly coes people kill em befor they can get big

  • that is the biggest red back i have ever seen. and i see quite a few as an entomoligist. im glad you posted it on youtube because it is such a pain for americans to think that black widows are the only kind of spider that looks like that and can kill.

  • kill it

  • kill it omfg thats what id do

  • Well you're obviously a heartless bastard, what right do you have to kill it? if I saw you on the street, I would kill you, why? just for the hell of it eh?

  • if you accidentally brushed up against him and he bit you on the arm with venom, yeh, kill him if you see him on the street.

  • yeah just leave red backs hanging around your place you idiot

  • your a stuped motherfucker m8 you cant just leave a redback lieing around coz theyll fuck u up u retard fuckin hell

  • The last death was in the 50s since antivenom is readily available. They will only bite in defense or if you disturbed a female with eggs, since the fangs are so small most of the time a hospital will give you anti inflams. Killing them is pointless, if you have a house/garage ect that the spiders like they will come back everytime.

  • Dude... that is WAY bigger than any black widow i have EVER seen. EVER

  • not a black widdow

  • oh so its sort of true

    thanx alot

i will be sure to keep my baby cousin away from one if i ever see one

  • Is that a 'toilet spider' ?

The ones that wait and hide in toilets to bite and kill people when they are doing their toileting.

I saw it on a television show about Australia.

    So many poisonous animals there.

I feel bad for the people there to have to suffer fear from going to a toilet because of toilet spiders, or putting on a shoe because of funnel webs or swimming with that water spider that kills them.

No wonder is a small poulation there.

    Everything wants to kill them.

  • not really. if your a werid sissy wuss thats scarred of anythin with more than two legs maybe but ye.... and yes they do commonly live in out houses we use to have about 4 all the time in our old loo

  • LOL (x3).

Typical Aussie type of comment to make it seem not dangerous when you are near a deadly animal. I have seen that show on television with the dead Australian guy who wants to touch and play with any animal that will kill him. I think that same fascination for deadly animals is in all Aussies. It must be an Australian thing.

I still feel bad for Aussies and the problems with the animals there.

So what is it you to do to be safe if you need to be toileting there?

  • not all aussies just theones that are brought up in the bush or on farms lol.... alot of people are sissy bitches. i could see people doing wat we did though we had a pet tiger snake and a red belly black. and take a crap inside.

  • "Redbacks are a non native species apparently and are black widows with a mutation. We have loads of them outside the house and in the garage. Surface spray :) "

    lol? wtf you tard

native to australia.. you know.. a country which isn't the US (yer i know zomg!)

they are pretty common.. like if i went into the yard and lifted up ym potplants id find a couple and im in suburban melbourne

  • Yeah They have been reported to have killed. But they are accually not that big this one is just a huge one.

  • yeh thats fucking massive.

  • is this a lie or the truth

red backs can kill you with one bite?

  • Redbacks are a non native species apparently and are black widows with a mutation. We have loads of them outside the house and in the garage. Surface spray :)

  • my wife and i were sitting outside ...and she felt something on her neck ... it was dark and she started to freak out ..and she jumped and i saw a hugeeee red back on her tshirt ...afterwards the spider fell on the ground and she steped on the damn thing ....we realised it was time to go inside !

  • I think redbacks are buitiful, I once saw one at the river and I live in NewZealand so it was a incredibly rare find.

  • fuk man i neva seen 1 dat big

  • man that spider is huge i rekon it would kill u lol

  • I detest spiders but that didnt stop me going to Australia and when I was there I saw a Huntsman and I was quite pleased because its an Aussie native

  • redbacks are similar to black widows but more poisonous. Can check out the web. Heard daddy long legs are reported to eat redback so i caught two daddys and a redback and put them together. they seems to live in harmony! lol

  • look how red the bak is.

  • btw thats world dangerous spider and tarantula is too but redback got really dangerous poison

  • Northern funnel-web spider of Australia is considerd to be the most dangerous spiders in the world they most lethal venom of any other spider in the world . These spiders are very fast, and unlike most spiders, aggressive towards people

  • @molosun There's a reason why they use tarantulas in horror movies; their main defence is to shake itchy hairs onto you. Allegedly their venom isn't all that potent

  • nope they are just called redbacks.

  • hmm, i guess they just look like the black widow...

  • arn't they called black widows?

  • the Australian ones are called red backs. The ones in North America are black widows. They look pretty similar to me though.

  • Same genus, Latrodectus.

  • Eww.

  • shit thats huge.. how venomous are those things?

  • @CKyzOnLy They can potentially kill you. The smaller you are, the more likely they can kill without any anti-venom administered

  • Cool

  • Fuck thats a big redback.

  • Wow! It's huge! I hope you didn't kill it. :(

  • Big and mean!

  • thats one big ass redback
