  • im getting the sst8 s never used the interchangeable soles & heels how many am i goning to need i have the H1, S4, and the T2 am i going to meed any more to use the shoes

  • Have Dan change places ith Curlie!!!

  • ok so i'm stuck between 3 bowling balls..i want what is a better choice for heavy oil between the nano, marvel or the invasion...i'm a 2 handed bowler...so i was thinking of buying the nano because is the most agressive but i don't want a bowl that is like a hooking monster..my other bowling balls are a Hy-road, a DiamondBack,Columbia Power Drive 2 and an old big bully

  • @bubblesaau depends on what type of ball you want. Both are high end balls, but the Nano definitely needs a lot of oil in order to hold line and hold all of it's power for the backend. The Marvel on the other hand is more versatile and will give you more consistent backend because of it's symmetrical core. If you frequently bowl on heavy oil or you are a big tournament bowler that is looking for a ball to play deep angles with then the Nano is for you. If you're looking for a strong ball for le

  • i am looking for a new ball between the nano and marvel pearl. i have a hammer black widow which i love. but its time for a new ball and i cant decided between the two. can someone help?

  • Pin DOWN on short oil ?

  • im having a really hard time choosing a new ball, my final decision was the jigsaw trap but now im having second thoughts. I dont know which ball to get now, i really want the trap but i also really want the nano, marvel, or hy road. i havent really heard all great things about hammer either. But i have heard all great things about storm. Can someone help me please

  • @ladyzmann Choosing a new ball can be frustrating with so many options out there. But you've got some really good choices there with the NANO, Marvel and Hy-Road. The NANO is the most aggressive ball on the market right now. It really is an amazing ball. If you want something that really hooks, the NANO is your ball. The Marvel is one of the smoothest, strongest most controllable balls you can throw. The Hy-Road is probably the most versatile ball on the market. Great on many conditions!

  • @bowlingballcom Ok thanks a lot for responding i appreciate it. Yeah i guess its between the marvel and hy road now, i have the mutant cell so i dont really need a ball that hooks A LOT.

  • @ladyzmann Well the Marvel is more aggressive than the Mutant Cell, so it looks like the Hy-Road is your ball! :)

  • @bowlingballcom Yeah, I made up my mind now. The Hy-Road is the ball I wanted ever since it came out and now i still have my chance to get it. I actually thought that they discontinued it so i was really sad, But when you guys told me it was still available i was very happy, So before i lose my chance to buy one, I am going to get it. Thanks for all of your help!!!

  • @ladyzmann I've had the trap since it came out. This is a late reply but if you didn't get it and are looking for an opinion on it. Its an amazing ball. I personaly dont like anything storm has to offer, but i love hammer products. They seem to give me much more pin action and movement down the lane. and Oil is no factor with the trap

  • Just got this ball today, and it smells like a green Monster energy drink.

  • How come you guys never show Ebonite intl?

  • this isn't even their most aggressive ball!

  • Do you think the marvel will be a good ball for me.. /watch?v=3yrhvPsnr9M&feature=feedlik ..... here is a videoclip of me throwing a prodigy.. ps: im the one in the blue t-shirt..

  • @MrBaardsen Are those the lane conditions you normally bowl on? If so, the Marvel would be too much ball. If those are your normal conditions, even getting a ball less aggressive than the Prodigy would be a good choice. Something like the 2Fast. Now if you were just bowling on a dry shot and normally there is more oil, the Marvel would be a great choice.

  • @bowlingballcom These conditions are dryer than most of the patterns i bowl on in tournaments, so i should probably get a marvel then :)

  • @MrBaardsen You'r link doesnt work Baardsen.

  • @SantasLittleDwarf Hm, it works when i try.. just try it again and make sure you get all the letters in there :)

  • @MMMmaverickKKK Best damn thing you could of done Im getting My new storm for spare shooting Hy Road less curve but Like I said a spare shooting ball

  • @MMMmaverickKKK i just drilled the marvel last week and did a 279,245,258,269

    great ball

  • @MMMmaverickKKK hey i suggest virtual gravity nano marvel victory road natural.

  • @MMMmaverickKKK That sounds like a great choice! All four of those are very good bowling balls! Also take a look at the Reign Supreme, one of the most versatile balls on the market!

  • I THROW MY BALL 18 MPH WITH ALOT REVS HOW SHOULD I GET IT DRILLED AND WE BOWL ON 41 FEET

  • Im getting this ball for my birthday next week! Cant wait it looks sexy and performs amazing.

  • reminds me a lot of the original cell :)...great ball.

  • *Cough* Ebonites better! *Cough*

  • @TyRTi thats y storm has more national ranked bowlers and team championships out there

  • @ReapersArmada and thats why a Ebonite Mission has one the PBA World Championships 2 years in a row

  • yeah, and thats it. Someone has to win the tournament, they just happened to be throwing the best ball that week.

  • @TyRTi Look how many majors Storm has tho

  • can we get some left hand shots? Me being left handed would really like to see how it reacts on the left side. ORRRRRRR you could just ship me some balls and I'll make a vid for you for all the lefties out there :)

  • Where are you bowling at that only has 2 lanes in a small room?

  • @haseso88 Watch TalkBowling episode 25 to learn more.

  • Is this fresh oil on synthetic lanes? Gardian?

  • say... why don't you guys join the PBA or something???

  • @aedaneed Two reasons. Have you seen what the guys on the PBA make? It's not like golf... :( They are fantastic bowlers and should be making much more than they do. Corporate sponsorship is hard to get for our sport.

And second, we really like what we do. We enjoy running our website where we not only sell product, but we also provide more content and information to bowlers than anyone else. We have a passion for this sport, unlike any other e-commerce bowling site.

  • @johncongdon1976 Oh ok thats why... sorry my bad TT.TT

  • No offense but this video makes the ball look like crap

  • tony uses mostly long pin distaces, what happens if you make them shorter??

  • @DaveBais If I am not mistaken, it would cause the ball to roll a little earlier. Many people like the "go long, and snap hook" reaction. Getting the pin closer to your PAP will make for more of an arc reaction, which some people do like.

  • I'm thinking about getting this ball to use in my highschool competitions. I've got the Reign and the Furious as well. Do you think this ball would preform well on the Middle Of The Road pattern?

  • @The48cats - it would probably too aggressive. its a good ball no doubt, but not for that pattern. u would want to use somthin a little weaker.

  • @The48cats Anarchy would be good.

  • looking for a new ball which is better: Storm Virtual Gravity, Storm Marvel, Or Roto Grip Mutant Cell

  • @ThePablo912

    900 global bank

  • @ThePablo912 They are all extremely good in their own right. The Marvel will be the most versatile though, and usable on the widest range of oil patterns.

  • @ThePablo912 Ive found the Roto Grip Nomad series to be extremely versatile on almost anything.

  • @mapleseeaan theory has a little more strength on the backend where the marvel is a smoother reaction due to the symmetric core.

  • I bet they mixed up the perfect scale for the marvel with the victory road. Somethin' ain't right.

  • Perfect Scale: 185.5? Hmm. Not quite up to par with Storm's other high end balls.

  • that was what i said!

  • Perfect Scale: TBD?! What the hell?! We need to know NOW!

  • this ball looks so strong very continuous in the back part of the lane and reads midlane well

  • @elmatador3288 that's more or less a product of a good ball roll rather than the actual ball itself...what you are looking for more here is the response time of the ball in relation to the pattern

  • who is choosing that shitmusic? can`t concentrate !why do i have to turn down the music everytime i watch those videos!??

  • @Muggel65 I choose the music and have a very small number of songs because I need them to be Creative Commons Licensed. I am not a musician, so I can not create the music.

As for volume, I try to edit the videos to roughly a standard -6db.

  • THEY GOT RID OF CURLIE!!!

  • @pistolpete171 We did not get rid of Curlie. He was not available for this shoot. Curlie is an awesome individual and we enjoy having him as part of our team.

The other guy in this video is Dan Reade, he is great as well. He is always there because he oils the lanes for us.

  • Nice piece.

John could do with a little more lift in the fingers and less turning of the hand.

  • OUCH AT THE END. Are you okay John? Hope nothing got injured or something o.O

  • stay behind the ball john! you have to learn how to roll it before you learn how to hook it

  • @Bowlrdude6 I appreciate the advice and I agree. I am not sure why, but I was all over the place when we shot this video. I didn't feel balanced at the line, kept sliding, and on top of that I changed my thumb from a mold to a Vise IT to try that out.

I agree, I bowl my best when I stay behind the ball and trust it to do its job. Don't steer the ball.... I should get that tattooed somewhere.

  • the roll and reaction reminds me of the original cell. This ball looks great.

  • This ball seems like another one of storm's high-flush-strikes only ball. The other strikes didn't seem as powerful, and it seemed that John had the best time with regards to pin action using that ball.

Question to any of the staff in the video: How much pin action or carry was there on the ball? It seems like the pin carry that Tony had was the same as my Reign Supreme's carry.

  • this ball is amazing and i want both this one and the victory road

  • oh john took the glove off. nice

  • @ktk575 Yeah, I took the brace off sometime last year. I actually forgot to take my accessory bag to league one night and felt like I had some control again.

However, you will see in the outtake at the end that I stuck in the ball and it hurt my wrist. Hopefully just temporarily.
