@punisheralex You know, I really doubt a 4 year old could create digital art like this. Or animate it. Or even get hold of a tablet and a computer. The animation in this film is some of the best I've seen, and I know you're just expressing your opinion here--but then again so am I. :) Sorry for seeming a little harsh, I just love this film and really think you got a few things wrong there. :P

@xXLegacy yeah, it does look like horribly like anime, doesn't it? :P I still hate Young!Batman's design anyway. What I like about these films is that they're a lot more realistic than most Batman cartoons; real blood here, people! :D Plus, they actually give a lot of story about Batman's actual training to become Batman. He isn't INVULNERABLE or something as he sometimes comes off as; you can actually see Batman feel human pain for once. :P idk if that's supposed to be a bad thing, though.

@MrK4MR4N01 A cardinal was giving a sermon in Gotham when all of a sudden the congregation starts going crazy with the fear syrum and Killer Croc ends up kidnapping the cardinal. Batman goes searching for him underground and after encountering and Croc and finds out the Scarecrow was just using Croc to help kidnap the cardinal whom he wanted to get rid of for helping the poor and homeless in Gotham, the same poor and homeless which he uses as his henchmen by drugging them with Fear Syrum.

I gotta say this depiction of scarecrow doesn't make much sense in terms of Chris Nolan's universe. He goes from morbid psychologist in Batman Begins, to cult leader, to drug dealer in The Dark Knight. He kinda takes a step down. Although, he does look so much better in Gotham Knight.

Agreed. This really didn't feel like it fit into the Noalan movie versions of the characters. Definitely more like the comics. In any case I prefer this depiction than what we get in the movies.

By far the best story of the movie. However have to say this Batman felt more like the grizzled veteran we see in the comics and DCAU cartoons (so did the one in Crossfire though. The others felt like he was struggling more.)

Between this and the Deadshot clips, they are my favorites! I love the whole dark look that was given to the characters, even though part of the anime characters were more "flat" than others. I love the look of Batman in these two stories. Definately a great dvd to own, i'm glad i bought a copy! Too bad they don't model an anime Batman show after these clips.

I think the reason they made him look young is so the new generation of batman fans can relate to him a little more. When I was growing up batman looked like he was in his mid to late 30's that was in the cartoons and movies. Now though they are making batman look like he is in his mid 20's to early 30's. Times are changing man. Look at superman hes even being made to look younger now in cartoons and in the new line of superman movies

Well the guy that did batman's voice is the same guy that did his voice in batman the animated series batman and robin and then I believe he did the voice for batman in the justice league series. So he's been batman's voice for the longest time I've grown use to it.

Gotham Knight looks awesome. They should use this kind of manga-style animation for other noir style comics, like Daredevil or Punisher, make them an adult cartoon series. It worked with Spawn.
