just a few things i saw thats wrong the high e string and the low e string are sepreated by two octaves not one and using the frets to tune ur guitar will make each string a lil bit lower or higher than it should be so this meathod of tuning shouldent be used using harmonics or listening to the chords is a better more effiect way of tuning my dad always mess up the tunings of my guitar i used a tuner for awhile but it helped me be able to place the note but not complaing it is for bengnings :)

i make the string one turn slacker hit the note im aiming for a couple of times let it ring in your head then strum the string to be tuned once and turn it quickish untill it hits the note in mi head, gets it bang on for me every time ;D

Tuners are very helpful but players should strive to be able to tune by ear. After playing for 35 years and having restrung various guitars thousands of times , I play a game when I restring and try to tune the guitar before I check it with the tuner. Just knowing how the string tension feels is helpful but you should strive to hear the correct pitch in your head. Pick a favorite song that you can hear in your head and figure out what key its in. For the A note I like Allright Now by Free
