How simple, good work out in my home with what (tools) I already own, this fits into my daily activities. I found your information on Podcast.com. Keep it up.
@tomrum42: True, I took some liberties with the grip, but it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of this exercise is to challenge the muscles of the shoulders and arms by approximating the motions of canoeing, not necessarily to teach people how to canoe. My hammer's handle is noticeably longer than a canoe paddle and lacks the t-grip at the end, so a proper grip is difficult at best, and potentially dangerous. I felt that this grip offered the best combination of control and comfort.

Grip is TOTALLY WRONG. Top hand should NOT be on the paddle shaft but on the top so that you can control the angle of the blade.

Of all the moves you've uploaded, these are the ones I enjoy the most. I will definitely include them in my routine.
