Most dogs don't tolerate milk very well. They become lactose-intolerant, the same as most humans do, as they age. A better alternative would be yogurt or spoiled milk because in either of those, the lactose has been fermented and so they are very low in lactose and won't cause Fido to fart and do diarrhoea on the rug while you're at work.

After looking at some of the comments left here, it shows me once again how some people have no idea on proper food for dogs. Before leaving me some lame comment, do some research on your own. Eggs shells blended with food is OK for dogs, raw meat IS NOT OK, no to beef or white rice. Try to be smarter than the average consumer who keeps buying food that shortens dogs/cats lives...

Hi,

We don't use ground beef as that type of meat is less nuitrional than chicken, turkey or wild game such as deer or elk meat (comes from road kill). Also, white rice is bleached so its removes the "good" stuff for the dogs digestion.

why do you cook it? Cooking meat loses it nutrients when feeding to dogs. Dogs should be given the meat raw....

Some people need to do some research or atleast speak to a vet or to qualified animal trainers etc, they will tell you that all the ingredients she used are suitable for most dogs. Only a few dogs, just like certain humans are lactose intolerant, but it's Safe healthy and appropriate for the general canine population. Unless your specific pup is unable to tolerate it. Therefore all ingredients are safe and quite healthy and allowed for dogs to satisfy their caloric needs.

Yes I know that you CAN give them rice, but its no use for a dog.

It only fills the stomach, but is not very digestible for them.

Better is to give them just meat, bones, organs (all raw) and some vegies short cooked and than put it in a blender so they can digest it and use the vitamins and minerals.

I read that dogs are lactose intolerant, but you used wholemilk in the recipe. I think it's not appropriate. However, I agree with you that egg shells provides calcium for the dog.
