This is not a Brolly Box. It's a umbrella softbox combo. Brolly boxes are white umbrellas that have flat black panels that fit on the back, where the light head enters, and the flash shoots through the umbrella, not bounce up inside and then back out of the umbrella. I need to correct you, as many new people to photography should not be confused.
@studiohq I lived in his country, and I was so bad at speaking his language, I only did it when I needed to, I would never be brave enough to try and share my knowledge like he is trying to do.
The white on will be a shoot through' I believe it has better diffusion (the black will give you a more contrast light source for the same umbrella size), but more power/light lose...
@DiyPhotographyStuff Thanks for the help. If I shot pics outdoors, what would there be a drastic difference in using the umbrella vs not? I have a reflector, and I haven't gotten down to the nitty gritty of this stuff. Can you u explain?
n ice video but the idea to get the flashhead so close to the umbrelle isnt that good messure it with a lightmeter and you will agree with me. in the middle yu will get about 1 or 2 stop higher exposure then on the corners
What?

@mcan1x
hey
This brolly I bought on B&H some years ago before I knew about the ebay less expensive
stuff.
You could get any of the brollys you can find on ebay, they all have the removable white surface.
Enjoy!

I see what you mean.
I'll try to check it (althought I don't use light meter), you are probably right.
After all I'm just suggesting a method to attach the flash to the brolly.
