  • yes Ban All Amalgam and Dentists who are murderers!! "Someone invent a way to regrow teeth please much better and safe!"

  • i got most of my tooths filled

  • I can't afford to have them replaced. my dentist wants to put more amalgam in because my tooth refused to grow around the amalgam filling, it has weakened beyond repair. Is it okay to just have the teeth removed instead?

  • Hey people. I am about to write a project about the dangers of mercury in amalgam fillings. Can someone provide me with neutral, scientific and non-biased studies and articles of the harmness or the non-harmness of this ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Tell you what... if you haven't experienced tremors or what you would describe as personality deficits.... don't worry about your fillings. The worries are mainly for children, and young children at that. Mainly those too young to have mercury fillings.

  • I luckely had all mine out why some dentists are still using it I dont know?

  • @missbabycakes69

Oh man, my levels of Mercury are sky high off the charts and I've been sick for 4 years now with Blood tests that just didn't add up. My thyroid, pituatary gland, adrenal glands and autoimune tests all came back abnormal and wonky. FINALLY my natural path did this chemeical test and it showed that my Mercury levels were off the charts. So now I'm half way getting my Amalgam silver fillings removed and they're being replaced with white composite. 2 more to go! ;p

  • @Donatello97 hi there, what is the latest status? how are you now? please advise,

  • @jmmelnyk

Well, after the 7 or 8 DMPS injections I then had another one of those expensive Mercury Urine tests done which shoq your toxicity levels for several things. So I then got my results back a week or so later, and guess what? My mercury levels were still sky high in the purple area which is the highest it goes labeled 'very high' I'm not suprised since i was still rockin all of the same crappy sysmptoms, And....

  • @Donatello97 thank you mate, much appreciate your honesty and feedback, i will weigh this up and make some decisions, many thanks again, mm

  • @jmmelnyk

And I'm never doing those over expensive unatural DMPS chealation injections ever again. I ended up spending over $800 and for what? Nothing. Plus those Heavy metal unrine tests cost almost up to $404. Anyways suprised by the results, my NP then says...Have you been digesting any High Fructose Corn Syrup....And I was thinking, possibly as it's in a lot of foods processed foods and so on. I mean he tells me this now? I thought i was just supposed to avoid certain fish ect....

  • @jmmelnyk

He then mentioned that i should take anxiety medication, and resume the chealation.I stopped seeing him ever since.I still do believe it is fact or I"m hoping that it's the mercury causing all of this, since i 'was' eating massive amounts of tuna before this all happened for a year or so straight AND i continued to do so while i was sick in the first 2 or so years. But I'm going on a hardcore natural detox this time.Plus i hear those energy savor light bulb contain mercury...

  • @jmmelnyk

which i need to get rid of considering they do contain mercury and it's my only other exposure at the moment. And I'm scratching my head as to why my mercury levels came back high...I just don't get it. Do these NP's bunk up these toxicity tests on purpose just so they can make money off chealation? Anyways, it's funny because i actually had some tuna a few days ago, which clearly contains mecury. The next day i looked like garbage..I had facial puffyness and

  • @jmmelnyk

and dark under eye circles, while my face was completely flushed. the same thing happens whenever i eat Sushi, but it was even WORSE when i had shell fish one time, i couldn't believe how messed up that made me look, my face was almost red from that coupled my even worse facial puffyness and dark under eye circles. I really do think the mercury is tied in this with causing my glands to go funky and possibly creating autoimmune problems. So yup! there's my wall of text! :p lol

  • @missbabycakes69

And I'm hoping this is the answer...I have to go through kelations as well with treatment. Anyways! why dentists still use them? Beats me, and trust me all of these regular dentists will deny that Amalgams fillings will harm you. I mean of course they're going to say that, they still use them after all....pretty fucked up.lol

  • So what is the correct way, the safest way to remove amalgam fillings and do you fill them up with gold fillings or what? What's the safest replacement metal?

  • @proxicate

Oh shit. I just 2 of my algams removed from a regular dentist. They basically use one of those rubber dams to cover your mouth. But I don't think that's good enough. 2 more to go ;p

  • I have heard about the toxins in Mercury amalgam fillings for years. From the time I was 10 till about 40 my mouth was full of fillings and not small ones either....ones that were almost the size of the entire tooth. Every tooth in my head had a "massive" filling in it. I have all crowns now. I don't know which is worse....all the dental x-rays I have had or the mercury fillings....well I am 55 years old and still alive

  • I would like to know if it's possible to have these toxic fillings removed under NHS. I don't like the idea of being a walking toxic hazard. Glad i don't live near a crematorium! All those vapours..nasty.

  • I wouldn't. Get informed about the IAOMT's protocol for safe removal of amalgams, try to find someone who is experienced with this. NHS dentists are not educated about (any aspect of) the risk of Hg.

  • I doubt it! I've paid tax all my working life but I can't even get an NHS dentist (I have to pay private). The NHS wont admit amalgam is dangerous anyway. Imagine the compensation claims.

  • @grahamblood

Tell me about it!! I had a discussion with my NHS dentist and she said the german doctors are freaks!!

  • @grahamblood man you have hit the nail on the head with THAT comment.the nhs would fold, leaving us all with real problems.when i got diagnosed,i was told, POINT BLANK,by my nhs dentist, that he could only take out my fillings if,and only if, it was for cosmetic reasons, not for medical ones.he even waited for my reply, that it was for cosmetic reasons, before he started work.i went to a mercury-free dentist, and straight away-he told me mecrury amalgams were poionous.he showed me that mine had worn.

  • I dont think I can afford a holistic dentist. Can I have my fillings relaced by a normal dentist and be ok? I already have anxiety and panic disorder and seems like chronic fatigue. I dont want to completely wreck my brain tryin to get this stuff out of my mouth.

  • No has to be holistic as the normal dentist would still have Hg vapours in the place!

  • its amazing those normal dentists manage to survive being exposed to all that mercury vapour EVERY DAY isn't it.

  • @roryk000

    They will succumb eventually though

  • how comes dentists have been using it for over 100 yrs and they don't have a more reduced life span than other normal? especially seeing as most vapour is present during placement and removal of amalgam, dentists are exposed to more mercury vapour than people who have it in their mouths

  • @roryk000

Mercury doesn't reduce the lifespan directly, it would interfere with the mental processes and infertility and there has been reports on dentists suffering mental ailments due to the mercury and in some cases unable to conceive. Know where the metals attack before commenting. Mercury doesn't kill people, it kills the nervous system

  • and i suppose you dont need a nervous system to live? ridiculous. of course some dentists havent been able to conceive - that would be common to all professions. only if there was a higher level of infertility in the profession than others would suggest there is a link. which i am sure there is no evidence for. but if there is, please let me know.

  • A wealth of info can be found at Bernie Windham's DAMS site.

It is true that dental staff are exposed to and bioaccumulate Hg vapour occupationally. Evidence exists that there is a higher incidence of infertility, birth defects etc within female staff, and mood, immune, motor function issues generally.

Hg's relentless nerve-dissolving properties may take a long time to manifest as an Official Disease.

Interesting to note - the dentist who poisoned me is now himself medically retired.

  • @roryk000

Those who have lost their nervous system function have many named disorders like Alzheimer's, MS. ALS, Parkinson's, Autism and acrodynia. All of these are mercury related. Mercury was proven to CAUSE acrodynia a lethal form of autism.

You understanding of toxicology is 100 years old and you should take the fundamentals courses offered by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Next meeting is 18th of March in Atlantic City NJ.

  • @roryk000

Actually the claim that dentists are not harmed by their exposure to elemental mercury vapor is utterly false. Go watch Karen Palmer tell the expert panel of the FDA how seriously she was injured by occupational exposure to mercury at "Got Mercury".

Rowland found that 40% of the Female dental personnel in amalgam using dental offices are rendered infertile by their occupational exposure. Think about the job interview when Dr. says, "Oh BTW you won't be having any healthy children."

  • @roryk000 Death is a very crude endpoint for toxicology. Children with high blood lead levels are brain damaged and violent but necessarily don't die.

Studies have documented in a number of studies neurological impairment to both the general public and the dental profession from dental amalgam mercury. Echeverria et al. The association between a genetic polymorphism of coproporphyrinogen oxidase, dental mercury exposure and neurobehavioral response in humans. Neurotoxicol. Teratol. 2005 Dec 8

  • Dentists who wear facial protection, gloves, and who wash their hands constantly before and after work. Why are you seeking to argue with the scientifically verified fact that mercury is toxic?

Regardless of any side arguments concerning new-age holistic nonsense here and there mercury is proven to be a neurotoxin.

Here's a video address for a scientific study of exactly how mercury destroys neurons.

    watch?v=IHqVDMr9ivo

  • Next time you have a mercury filling removed ask the dentist if he'll let you take the amalgam home with you. If he lets you, he could lose his license for exposing you to a toxic substance. But he's perfectly happy to put that same amalgam in your mouth. THAT'S the "amazing" part.

  • My mom has something called Multiple System Atrophy (Shy-Drager, MSA-extreme condition similar to Parkinson's but on the vital systems and much more fatal). I noticed it came on after a long period of time where she was going to the dentist a lot. She has crowns, metal fillings, root canals,...etc. Also, the Orthodontist there got Parkinson's and had to quit.

  • How i she doing now?

  • ceramic

  • Those procedures cost alot of money and they're not even approved by the insurance. Anyways, I got 2 and a half mercury fillings removed after having them for a year. I did not approve mercury in mouth and I had them removed, on my own decision.

  • Im 14 and ive 3 silver fillings :S and nothing ever happened me ¬¬

  • I'm 33 and I have just been fired because of an incident that, it is now clear, is the result of years of mercury poising that broke the blood brain barrier... basically I went crazy and became very aggressive for about 2 weeks. I am not guaranteeing this will happen to you, I also had my wisdom teeth removed which facilitated the ingestion of the mercury fumes.

I think you want to check your blood every year you have the fillings, just to be sure your mercury levels are safe...

  • Have you started any detox / chelation protocol? (assuming *all* amalgams have been properly removed that is).

I recommend checking out 'Amalgam Illness' by Andy Cutler, and the associated yahoo groups 'Frequent-dose chelation' and 'Adult metal chelation'.

Hg can be removed from the brain, but ideally only after body organ load is reduced first.

Blood/fluid tests for Hg are not indicative at all of toxic load, often giving a false negative.

  • I am almost 30 and suffer from an austic spectrum illness, i have had a possible career ruined and untold misery reaped on me due to TOXIC materials being where they shouldn't be

  • Hope you sue the pants off them. Wish you well

  • sounds like your just a fucking nutcase to me

  • probably, but I'm happy, now that I've removed all of the mercury from my teeth, and I'd rather be a happy nutcase, than a miserable mound of sanity.

  • hehe mate i was only playing..i had one out on saturday cos i have spasmodic dysphonia its a paralysis of the vocal chords for which i have to have botox injections in them...i thought it was worth a try pal..ignore my comments cos i realise why you did it..i heard you will feel ill though for a year afterwards..did you???because of detox process??

  • I don't understand what people expect you to do. Let your teeth rot out with no filling? If you use the newer porcelain fillings, all your doing is substitution one toxic for another toxic... as porcelain fillings contain the toxic formaldehyde.... yet few people ever mention that.

  • Cerec filling......

  • i have fillings can some one tell me if they got mercury in them there just normal fillings n one caped tooth and if they do what should i do ive had them in for like 6 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • get your blood tested for mercury levels, if they over the top, you might want to consider getting them removed, if not, just get your blood checked every year.

  • try DMSA, beware of a yeast explosion in the gut, PCArx is a great product too, supplement your gut with flora, you may even need candex or something even harsher

  • ban amalgams

  • EDTA is really used to remove cholesterol, which actually removes mercury, go ahead enjoy bacon and eggs, yummy

  • BAN AMALGAMS

  • im getting mine removed on march the 12th,so im not sure what to get to help me remove the toxic before and after the removal. can you give me some tips? i know i seen your video, but just to make sure everything i do is right.

  • EDTA is not a suitable chelator.

Get info about 'DMSA' and the Cutler chelation protocol and see herballure(dot)com(forward-slash)mercuryforum

Read, read, read BEFORE doing anything.

Does this dentist know how to remove amalgam as safely as possible...?

  • EDTA can move mercury but it is more likely to redeposit itself somewhere else, DMSA is the best, or you can try PCA rx it is a natural clathration agent, you need glutathione , beware of a yeast explosion in the gut, read up on diets and supplement your gut with flora, MAKE SURE THE DENTIST USES A DAM AND GIVES YOU OXYGEN ON THE NOSE, ASK HIM TO WATER THEM DOWN IF HE DRILLS THEM, chunking is a safer method, look up PCArx it is working for us, we also used DMSA ,how many do you have?

  • I can't afford to get mine removed, & I probably won't be able to for quite a while. What do you recomend I do until then?

  • Learn as much as possible;

  • cool thanks :)

  • What is ETA?

  • eta or EDTA? Definately DO NOT use EDTA!

EDTA is bad. It's not good at all.

If I am wrong, then show me, and prove to me why?

I am dealing with it too.

  • @wbdubay - It is not ETA, but EDTA, it stands for Ethylen Diamin Tetraacetic Acid, it is a chelator, it means it attracts and capture metallic ions. It is used sometimes in dentistry to soften pulpal channels very calcified, for Endodontic purposes.
