Police have to get you to sign the ticket to say you will appear in court, so they can issue a warrant in 30 days if you don't show up. If you don't sign it, you get arrested. If you resist arrest, you can be maced, shot or physically subdued into submission. She's lucky someone invented the Taser so that less damage is caused when she resisted arrest. If he had politely asked her to get into the cruiser she might have responded. In my experience senior citizens are very accommodating when you are respectful. I don't like police as much as the next guy, but this officer did his job. Police have to get you to sign the ticket to say you will appear in court, so they can issue a warrant in 30 days if you don't show up. If you don't sign it, you get arrested. If you resist arrest, you can be maced, shot or physically subdued into submission. She's lucky someone invented the Taser so that less damage is caused when she resisted arrest. The police know how these things feel, they get tazed when trained
