  • @PitPat23

I guess we have to have one asshole in the bunch.

  • Original and by far the best :)))

  • Puh-leez. Marco can't even correctly pronounce half the words in the song.

  • I felt up my first girlfriend in the fourth grade to this song. Oh, the memories!

  • Billy wrote this song dudes... NOBODY sings it like this guy and even Billy Vera now doesn't get into it like in this particular piece... I guess you sing it so much its hard to feel the same but here its sung like nobodys business.. WOW if it doesn't stir you then you have problems... All thes other interpretattions are polished profeccional but none feel it like this dude!!

  • i don,t say marco is better!!!!

  • Billy Blows Marco away at this song cmon, if you think Marco is better Elaborate,.. Billy has better talent, range and tone, and Marco cuts every ending chorus short while Billy Carries it with vibrato, cmon if u think Marco is better explain why if you know what your talking about... great job Billy you are the originator and the best by far..Michael is a close secong but he jazzez it up to much and its not as raw as yours!

  • waaay better than marco borsato...

  • Just one more time!!! If only

  • I love you, Billy, you can hold me anytime, no ground kissing needed.

  • You can only feel and understand this song and it's lyrics if you've only ever truly loved someone and then lost them...

Just a classic that transcends time, love, and heartache

  • so many guys I have cried over, listening to this song. then I met the one i wanted to spend my life with.... he recently died and that line i'd subtact 20 yrs from my life take on such heartaching new meaning, and all those others are just an embarrassment. I'll miss you forever, Richard

  • @kamlatamarw: I lost my wife of 48 years on the 5th of Feb 2011, I can feel you heartache because that is what I feel now. Please take care and live your life to the fullest, I'm sure that is what Richard would have wanted you to do.

  • SMOKEY&BABYDOL!! O.C.13!!

  • makes me cry but i love it

  • Still brings tears to my eyes after all these years - so emotional.

  • If you want to hear him great.. He was featured on a CD called Soul of R&B Revue for 6 songs. This CD included Chuck Jackson and Cissy Houston.

All live, you'll be hard pressed to find a better R&B CD.

  • I love this song . it bring back so much memory..

  • Can't believe this song still brings tears to my eyes after 20+ years WOW music is so impactful

  • This is one of my favorite songs.. Great singer incredible song to hear..

  • yea, I hear you. Have you been able to access his myspace page? or mine? you can see it, but can not access info unless u have an acct....and if u dont,, why not get one? I will be your first freind there!! lol

  • truly a beautiful prefomance ! love it anytime i hear this song i stop dead in my tracks and listen to the beauty and the sincerity in his voice and it is priceless.

  • Try and get a hold of his other songs Bodygurl. Whether in paint, words or music, some artists seem to be able to show the feeling you and I have. And that is why it is called art. BV is one of the artists that does that to me.

  • nonotahero, okay, I talked with him via myspace last nite, and he said the 11 minute cut of "here comes the dawn again" is on the first album "Hopeless Romantic" and is available on ITunes, and Amazon on C.D.. Hope that helps. Trudy

  • Chatted a while yesterday with Billy Vera. Really neat to re-connect with old musician freinds from Calif, most of the musician freinds I have run into by accident via myspace.....would never have been able to re-connect with these old freinds/ people without myspace.!!

  • If you do again, please ask him to make one of his best ever available for me? The song is called: here comes the dawn again. I would like a copy to be played at my funeral.

  • Really love this song, it says so much when u listen to it.

  • Thi song makes me feel so bad, cause I am going through this now. Have lost the love of my life for something very stupid.

  • Some of the most poignant music has come from genuine heart ache. God, you just can't help but feel how much this man loves this woman in this song.

  • So sad. This is my favorite Sad Song in the world.

  • this is the most heart aching song in the world!

  • A long way from Port Chester

  • Maaan kiss the ground that she walk on? After she got caught cheatin'? That's sad... Cool song though...

  • 19 & madly in love...(remember K?)

ADAM LAMBERT would sing this song exceptional!!!

  • On my Best Song List...which is long

  • Im 34 and remember this from family ties ........ the show....... i loved it then and still do till this day

  • What a voice! Was lucky enough to see him live years ago in huntington beach. Talented and funny performer. Love him!

  • I love the end. He's such a great singer. He had he sound, he had the voice.

  • sad part was he had no staying power.

  • he has alot of staying power. He is still around, at his mid-sixties, still performs weekly with one of his best sax players Lon Price, in Studio City, occasionally the beaters all get together, and tour, plus he is paid to be a music historian. So he has made his "mark" in the industry, and is still writing and recording new songs. He has achieved alot more than people realize.

  • What I meant was Billy comming out with more big hits.. like other big names out there, like Neil Diamond..

  • This was my song. I can't understand why it didn't make it the first time out. It took a sitcom to make it popular. This sooo beautiful.

  • Is there anyone who loves someone that much? Kiss the ground that they walk on?

Well, I adore this song, but...

  • I adore this song too......that's why this song is so beautifull..in dreams we wish we meet someone that we will kissed the ground that they walk by....in dreams :-)

  • Billy Vera sang this song in a bar scene from a Movie with Ed Molinaro. That was the first time I heard it and it took my breath away.

  • did i hear this theme on t v

    what movie ? or t v show ?

words are just great sure hurts to hear

those words why do i need to hurt sometimes?

hurts so good ? any way i do like this song.

kinda makes me really sad at the end

  • Perhaps in a tv show called Family ties (with Michael J. Fox as Alex Keaton). It kinda was the love theme there when he met his true love.

  • this is so beautifully sung

  • Powerful song, touches your heart..enough to bring back sweet memories and make you cry, but at the end..it gives you renewed energy, to pick up your self and move on.

  • wow well put

  • Super!!!

  • Billy Vera might not be pretty to look at, but his voice is pure velvet.

  • I could look at Billy Vera all day.

  • I could look at Billy Vera all day.

  • this song is the living and breathing definition of beautiful music. The way in which that man sings that song, is so perfect, it almost leaves me breathless.

  • Great song. The horns compliment his voice screaming out for her to hear his plea. Well done. It's sad if you dont get it.

  • Such a beautifull song, beautifull memories

  • yes, I actually had this happen to me right when this song came out. I love this song, it brings back the good memories.

  • hmmm..What can I say..meaning yes, a memory..sooo cute ya had to be there..He hit the notes too :)

  • one of my favorite songs from the 80's I wore this one out.

  • Beautiful!

  • the icon song for what could of been but was not.

  • Umm, bally.... it's the way he always does it... and it's great.

  • Would have been better without the long, drawn-out ending.

  • Always make me cry :-(
