Now of all the songs to perform "Walk the Dog" is a weird one! There is nothing close to mainstream TV about this (which is probably why she chose to perform it!).
Laurie Anderson's uber-creative bent and biting wit wouldn't find a home on many shows... thanks for Letterman. But do check out the full length version on her site and many others. The lyrics are more incisive than even what she did here.
