    I didn't say it was freeze proof. I said it lowered the freezing point.

    tried Antifreeze 2 cup to 1 gal water, 3 teaspoon KOH, 30 amp for 1/2 hr, lost all amps after that. add more KOH AMP would go up, then back down to 4 amp.

  • I like the idea of using KOH as antifreeze so last night I decided to test 4 tablespoons (in flakes) in a litre is distilled water in the real outside cold. For 12h the temperature went from -17c to -20c back to -15c with a a lot of wind (that was in CAN). The solution was slushy but I was able to put a knife through it easily where most of the centre was still water. I think that is good enough for the generator to start working properly.

  • If you change the properties of water it changes it on both ends. You can not lower the freezing point and raise the boiling point. I hope you saying it raises the boiling point was a misspoken words. It you add something to lower the freezing point so it freezes at lower temperatures it will also lower the boiling point.

  • Next time you're in an automotive store, pick up a gallon jug of antifreeze and look at what it does to affect the boiling temp.

  • My bad. OK I made a mistake. You are not changing the properties of water but adding something to the water that is totally different than how water reacts to temperature

    The frozen electrolyte solution was 5% Koh by weight in distilled water.

  • Just to let you know. I put some of my Koh electrolite from my cell in the freezer. It froze solid.

  • Okay, you need to do better than defing your unit of measure as "some". Was it a measured 50 grams per measured liter of distilled? or a "about half a teaspoon" to a gallon?

  • I.C.E. = Internal Combustion Engine.

    Not using a stone for 2 reasons. 1) Don't want the added restriction to flow and 2) It creates more foam that might rise to the top and flow out of the bubbler. Pure water might not have this problem but remember, I'm going to be using shared electrolyte throughout the system in a closed loop. KOH has the tendency to foam up.

  • in a car appication have you thought about a higher output altinator say from standard of 135 amps to a 200 amp instead of putting in a second alt. been watching you a hoax and have learned a couple things by watching you 2 how much pressure can you glass canister hold

  • You're probably right about the alternator. But, under vacuum my current requirements to produce a specific volume of gas just dropped drastically. I have no intention of allowing it to build up pressure.

    Thanks for the videos and the info. I have watched your entire series. I'm playing around with a double helix design. How much hho production would you recommend before installing in a vehicle with a V10? Have you noticed a "Sweet Spot" with HHO production and engine performance (i.e. is more always better or is there a point of diminished returns)?

  • There's no easy answer to the sweet spot question. The reason is as I explained about the inverse manifold vacuum relationship to engine load. For the most efficient use of HHO it needs to me more vacuum with engine load, as can be produced by the vacuum pump with very little power from the engine. At least that's the theory I plan to prove or disprove, THIS WEEKEND!

  • Also, a very good personal friend of mine has offered to donate a small ICE to experiment with. The next phase after this one is 100% HHO from 100% H2O, assuming this phase works as expected, of course. I will add a 2nd v-belt pully to the electric motor shaft and use that as an idler to the ICE output shaft.

    Is that over unity I smell? :-)

  • Sorry havent read any mad scientist books lately did not recognise the name.How would youre Zerro cell work on straight carburator? The reason i am asking,i thhink your system produces enough HHO to run a small H da echo throtle gen & make the loop with built in charging systen.Even if you have to add small charger to make up the diff.The 1KL only uses 2.5 LTR/8HRS @ 75% load, the 2KL uses 4.5 LTR/8HRS @ 75% load. Can solve GAS & ELECTRICITY problem at the same time.Any results on MPG?

  • Go for 316. If you buy a PWM now the mod to make it externally controlled will very easy.

  • Hey everyone, mid 40's predicted on Sunday. Power supply came in. Bench is set up to run the vacuum tests on the cell. HHOMeter was frozen again else I'd have run the test last night. Hoping the DV cam comes today or tomorrow so I can Christen it with what I'm predicting will be a historical milestone.

  • better build a shatter shield between you and that compressor, just in case the oxygen and oil do cause it to shatter. at least get good heavy goggles to protect your eyes . hard to say what will happen !!!!  not trying to be a smart ass just have to agree with some of the others that have pointed out the instability of oil and oxygen.

  • Taken under advisement. Do you think the synthetic oils are more flame retardant and less likely to combust in the presence of oxygen?

  • My guess is that the flash point of synthetic oil is higher but i am sure it would burn with vigor in the presents of oxygen.

  • Just had another thought, there are small oil less air compressors built and sold, don't know how they work, but maybe one of those could be used............

  • Maybe you should add some potassium hydroxide to your bubbler. Keep it from freezing and could be used to top of your cell on the road.;)

  • I do. There's no reason the cell and bubbler can't share the same supply of fluid in a closed loop system. Now we have one more reason to do so.
