I currently live in Sitka Alaska & yes it is pricey to live here. If you have children in school..in my opinion..The BEST schools are here! I absalutely LOVE the schools here!! I'm moving back to the east coast this summer (Where my home is) but, I won't miss the rain! It rains WAY too much here in Sitka. However, I WILL miss the snow & summers i've spent in Sitka~ they're really nice! Sitka is beautiful! If you haven't been here~it's a must see. It's not a place for the shopaholic though! =(
