I think the dispatcher did his job very very well. He's not supposed to show sympathy or panic himself. It wasn't even his job to ask who did it to him which actually shows he was concerned. It's a dispatchers job to stay calm, learn the situation and keep the person calm so people can get there to assist with no dramas, not to reply "omg on fire? Is he alright? Omg that's messed up!"

My son fell,broke his arm and hit his head on the concrete. His eyes then rolled back in his head and he stopped breathing. it happened to me when I was about 10. My dog saved my life. He use to be a mascot for a fire station and knew what to do. I know how the kid felt. I hope he is ok and they do skin graphs on him.

The Operator did an amazing job! For some of you to ridicule some of the seemingly obvious questions he asked only points to the fact that you're obviously not a trained 911 dispatcher. Whether or not you like it/agree with it, those questions are part of a standard protocol. I bet most of you don't know that if he doesn't ask ALL of those questions, in a certain order, (whether they seem OBVIOUS to you or not), "he" can lose his job! I know this because I am a 911 dispatcher.

@PhukAdvertisements I'm guessing you have all of the necessary rescue equipment in your car then? Like the jaws of life to cut through a car when you're trapped inside? I watched two teenagers burn to death inside a car they were un-able to get out of after an accident. I listened to them scream until they died, and burned myslef badly trying to help them, but there was nothing I could do. Those screams haunt me to this day 7 years later. I called 911, but what would you have done?

The Operator did an amazing job! For some of you to ridicule some of the seemingly obvious questions he asked only points to the fact that you're obviously not a trained 911 dispatcher. Whether or not you like it/agree with it, those questions are part of a standard protocol. I bet most of you don't know that if he doesn't ask ALL of those questions, in a certain order, (whether they seem OBVIOUS to you or not), "he" can lose his job! I know this because I am a 911 dispatcher.
