the hard shifting into and out of 2H- 4H and 4L is real comon with all CJs. Just make sure your manual hubs are locked in the right postion, and just give her a little speed and left off the clutch and shift as your doing so, always works for me. Enjoy ! Nice jeep

Sometimes you have to play with the Gears, forward or reverse while shifting the low to high gear box. It can be tricky, but does eventually go.

Sorry Mr. Rpeek just saw your note...I used a double wobbly with a 2 or 3 inch extension inbetween..thinks itsa 11mm.  From the looks someone already installed the replacement cover. If so don't cut off the neopreen gasket just clean really well...then use right stuff and apply a boat load! make sure to let dry...darn things always leaked.

Put something across there in front of those heads just in case you should happen to hit something with the plow that would stop you faster than those heads want to stop.

I had an 83' CJ-7 Renegade! Seeing you work on yours reminds me of mine. I would love to regain my youth and get another one. Your video reminded me of the time I let the valve cover gasket go too long! The smoke was pouring out of the hood after a long drive to the next town.  Unfort, I opened the hood and she burst into flames! Good thing it only takes a few wires under the hood to run the engine! Nice videos! good day!

Man that sounded good! Nice job! those carbs were junk....to have it start that good is a miracle. Im impressed. BTW they use to sell a kit to get those valve covers to seal...don't bother..get some right stuff clean off the old neopreen and seal the snot out of it.

When you back up the transfer will come out of 4x4 easyer. Great job of savin a good Jeep!
