I really didn't knew he died until now! I knew he cought AIDS (probably from Freddie) but I really enjoyed reading his book My Life With Freddie. I really liked the poem in it. R.I.P. Jim!

@PrinceCharming25 Jim never had AIDS. He was HIV+ but it never got as deep as that. I read the book, too but I don't believe all of it. He may have made it sound like Freddie gave him HIV+ but I think he had it when he met Freddie and lied about the date he found out he had it. Jim jumped around at Gay bars, too. Of course, who wouldn't when you're dating a beloved rockstar. I wouldn't want to be beaten bloody in the street, either.

For the record HIV virus has been around since the 1950's. It probably came from a monkey of some sorts. Many exotic animals carry virus's. In the late 1970's it crossed over to humans maybe even earlier. Animals carry DANGEROUS diseases plan and simple. Yes, It was only last year but Jim showed up with Pheobe at a few Queen fan club meetings and one of them happened to be in Detroit. Jim was a heavy smoker from what I understand. Jim got lucky (in some ways) because he did not contract HIV until just before Freddie died (within a few months) and that was right around the time that there were many advancements in AIDS research and medications. Back when Freddie was ill, all they had was AZT (basically) which wasn't that great for you, but it was better than the alternative. Jim got diagnosed at a good time (if there can ever be a good time, you know?).
