  • My only question about your mage, where are the Tera level spells? or are you not using them due to animation speed reasons?

  • Tera spells are not used for 3 reasons: effect duration is too long (I can't disable effects), SP usage too high, and bonus on damage is minuscule for the SP needs. Even omega spells are like this. Only tera wind and omega wind are worthy enough. Giga ice, mega star, and fire are best for the other series. My wizard has tera spells, but only present to make mega star quick to reach as there doesn't seem to be a way to customize the order of spells.

  • @ulillillia then how much damage could you have done if u used tera star?

  • If tera star was at the same level as my mega star, it would do about 30% more total damage. Tera star is only 80% as powerful as star and mega star is about 20% as powerful. This makes tera star about 33 1/3% more powerful than mega star. My wizard, Freeze, does the bulk of the damage - the others don't change. Today, if I had the same conditions for pyramids and enemies, I could do over 300 million total damage. With 9 enemies and pyramids, I could pass a half billion total.

  • I'm baffled why the Divine Majin does not have the Yoshitsuna equipped...

  • I have 2 Yoshitsunas at the moment. Laharl has one and is level 100. The other is level 0. The cosmic blade, of which is what the divine majin has, is level 100 which clearly makes it more powerful than my second yoshitsuna. Just before I got bored of Disgaea, I started leveling up the second Yoshitsuna for, not the majin, but a shinobi.

  • @Galaxynewsradio2055 It is a great video though

  • wow uli, you must be sitting on the crown of the guy who played disgaea the most, and the most funny thing about it is you "don't care" for sequel or nis or even the story XD

  • I do have interest in the sequel, but you are right about the story - I don't find it interesting. I could breeze through it with ease without having to save, if I wanted. After all, what enemies can handle the 6 million damage my wizard can now do with consistency? There aren't many - item gods (the item god 2 needs 3 hits of this amount) and likely Baal (this one I don't know).

  • Out of curiosity, do you ever play more complicated strategy games like Europa Universalis and Victoria, or puzzle/brain teaser games? I imagine your analytical/methodical approach would be perfect for them but on your video list I see mostly jRPGs and platformers...

  • I don't because I'm mostly unaware of them or their existance. TV ads for video games outside war- and online-based games seem to have disappeared.

  • How long til you get to do a trillion damage?

  • Given what I'm seeing and hearing, 21-something million is the max a stat can go. A level 99 Mega star should do something like 45M per strike. With atk+100% and attacks+3, this may be 68M per strike and with 9 strikes repeated 4 times (36 total), that's about 2 1/2 billion. With 10 wizards all doing the same thing, it's 25 billion. A level 99 tera wind on 9 wind-weak enemies (all -50), could increase the grand total to 40 billion. A trillion is impossible, given this.

  • Invincibility is annoying when you're trying to get anything done, but very fun to mess around with.

  • It's also very useful for getting weapon and magic mastery. With "attacks+2" and "invincibility", I can go from 20 mastery to the max of 255 in the matter of less than an hour. For magic, it's a bit different. 9900 uses from level 0 to level 99 (assuming 25 points per use) is a bit much, but hey, at least it works. Strangely, weapon special skills are not affected, probably due to a bug, one of several I'm aware of (yep, I need a bug-collection video).

  • @ulillillia wow I had no idea it was actually 9900 uses 5 points makes that big of a difference xD, anyway, I love that damage there, your mega star is very powerful, and you have allot of teachers, when you get those 3 SRS your mage should be hitting for around 50,000K damage without Attack +50% pyrimids and such, and as for getting skills up, at least magic can have attack+ symbols helping it out, I hate that every other skill doesn't work with Attack+ symbols -_-.

  • 9900 assumes no transmigrations are used. The formula, if you want to know how many it'll be for anyone, is simply "247,500/PointsPerUse". For Laharl, who gets 10 per use, it's 24,750 uses. Marjoly, who gets 30, needs 8250 uses. An initial green mage, which gets 20, needs 12,375. The 247,500 is the total number of points you need to reach level 99. My Laharl has one last transmigration left then it's level 9999 for real. Following that is Baal then getting Hector up and going.

  • @ulillillia glad to hear your laharl is almost done, and when that happens you can post that video of baal up once and for all. As for me, I am playing disgaea DS corently have 4 divine majins max transmigrated level and each one has a diffrent weapon and 3 SRS as well as each one having 1 of every specialist each maxed and I only have 120 hours xD.

  • I need to clean out the warehouse again (there's 230 items present, 28 of which are exits). As I level up items, I keep an eye on the bonuses, looking for rares (5 max specialists 25% stronger) and legends (6 max and 50%) of high level items. I sell the less worthy items, using the points system I came up with, and keep the good ones. Another maxed teacher is due with half of another likely. Laharl's final transmigration is the next video (you should see it today).

  • @ulillillia that's awesome, also about Baal, the main problem with him is his level 99 skills, they add another x5.5 damage with his regular attack stat, so that's why he hits hard, though I think with 4 million or so defense he wont use his skills, btw try to beat him without stealling his equips when he is a prinny when he is just himself while he has SRS you should steal that at least, I dunno if you like having monsters but he also has a nice monster weapon equipped.

  • I generally lack preference toward monsters, due solely to the lack of weapon mastery. It took long enough to get my argus up to max level, but I only got it for one thing - clone wars. Compared to cave of ordeals 3, "supering" the talos to the max (7040) after getting a clone pyramid with either another clone or exp+, having my own level 9999 argus has made clone wars 70% more efficient. Even at level 9990, without exp+, I can still gain 2 levels in one (usually 1 though).

  • @ulillillia Actually, weapon skills not working with attacks+ may be intentional, or at least omitted due to programming-difficulty reasons: Remember that some Spear and Fist skills change the positions of the user and/or their victim, so attacks+ could cause trouble with having an unintended/invalid target. Nothing like spear-hopping back into a crowd of your own characters and slaughtering them all. :(

  • Well, if the special skill calls for a target to move, forbid the use of it, otherwise, allow it. I could program this in about 2 minutes via the use of a flag - if any executed action requires a movement (like impaler, spear storm, or triple strike, but not winged slayer or delta split), then only one action can be used. If any such movement skills are used, the flag is set. It is released upon execution of all such skills (when the bonus gauge fills). It shouldn't be hard to program.

  • Do you think they programmed the numbers to go up that high just for people with Asperger's such as yourself?

  • My 2D RPG has far, far more potential than Disgaea. Not billions of damage, but numbers few can comprehend. My book has this - one character can do 1E19 damage (that's 10 quintillion), though there's a spell that makes that look puny. Instead of level 9999 being the max, it's 4.3 billion, but good luck playing for thousands of years to reach it.... My 2D RPG is likely my next project after Platform Masters. I've had plans for it since 2006 or so.

  • lol nice you are owning this game

  • O_O MY GOD THERE SO POWERFUL! I've never seen this.

  • Tons of attacks in a row and knocking your enemy into the sun?? This looks like the most cartoonish over-the-top strategy game I've ever seen! Characters really have over 100,000 HP?

  • Disgaea is unlike most RPGs - there's almost no limitations present. I've had my Laharl with 2.3 million HP... at level 4500. Disgaea seems like anime. I vaguely recall the game's story, for what little I've seen, but it plays much like anime. An enemy called "item god 2" has 14.4 million HP as a basis at level 9999, probably due to 300% aptitude or something. You can certainly get that kind of HP, though you'll need a lot of transmigrations and "dietician" specialists.

  • I played this and it's pretty cool for a JRPG... Thanks for the recommendation, mate!

  • I have watched the video but there is something that bugs me: Why if you did that insane amount of damage you didn't even scratch the enemy lifebars? Are they immortal or something?

I just want to know how far this game can get.

  • Do you know what "invincibility" means? If an "invincibility" pyramid (any color) is on a green panel, all objects on green panels, including the pyramid itself, will be immune to every form of damage you dish at it. Look up "invincibility" in the dictionary or Wikipedia. Enemies, allies, specialists, pyramids, you name it, are all affected the same way. I find it annoying most of the time because it does me no good - I can one-hit nearly anything but don't take damage (super high defense).

  • @ulillillia Ok ok, I didn't pay attention to that. Relax.

  • Hey ulillilla, about those Bows again.. Do you think you could find an easy way to make an Archer as powerful as your other characters?

  • If you want extreme range, guns are the way to go - they go up to 6 panels away. Bows require both gladiators and marksmen in order to be effective. In other words it requires twice the effort and time - a maxed gladiator and marksman as a single of each on other weapons. It can be still done. For raw damage, magic users and staffs are the way to go, of which have a range of up to 9 (7 actually, but a trick allows for 9).

  • lol thats amazing dude!!!what more is it left to do in disgaea 1??

  • There's a lot left for me to do - Baal, the story (I should be able to zip through this), getting characters maxed out in terms of transmigration, getting 1 billion in total damage, obtaining the ultimate bow and monster weapon (stolen from item gods), and still more that I can't quite think of yet.

  • @ulillillia wow thats quite ALOT!you didnt do the story????THATS THE BEST PART!!!!and i suppose you got stronger using item world then when you were strong enough you did the bill for cave of ordeals...and you should totally beat baal and get his super robo suit)-the best equipment, and gives+30 jump and+3 movement.and also you dont need to steal the nemesis(the 2nd best monster weapon from baal)b/c prinny baal has the nemesis mk 2(BEST WEAPON)at level 100 and also a prinny suit level 100

  • I hit 4000 well before I first saw the cave of ordeals. I think I even had 9999 beforehand, though I don't recall. I leveled up primarily by clone wars. At first, I just threw lower-level enemies into a "machine" then repeatedly had it cloned. I've, after a while, got my own level 9999 argus and I use it to have clone wars anywhere at any time. I keep a close eye as to what pyramids there are - when I get a rare setup (geo panels, terrain, and the number of clone and exp+ pyramids).

  • So, when do you plan on playing Disgaea 2?

  • It'll be quite a while, but I will look into it. There's still a lot left in 1.

  • ulillillia you crazy dog

  • lol what platform is this on?

  • The PS2.
