  • IM 15 AND I SAW THE RE-RELEASE, also meg is technically not a princess. she doesnt date or marry a prince. shes a goddess

  • this is the part in the movie where i held my girlfriend's hand when they did the theatrical re-release.

  • for once disney set a good example. looks arent everything, relationships require alot of work patience, kindness, seeing past each others flaws, arguments will take place but resolve and forgiveness are required to make things work and last. this is a bit more realistic than sleeping beauty

  • Angela Lansbury of "Murder, She Wrote" fame did the voiceover for Mrs. Potts. She does a great job singing this song.

  • im doing this song for ballet

  • When I was younger, I was sooo pissed when the Beast turned back into a human lol

  • im going to see this movie at the theaters!!!

  • Just saw this tonight in 3D.......I cried.

  • with a few more arrows after Gaston smashed 'the beast' through the window, it would be Gaston's castle

  • Beast is just soooo cute! :))

  • I love these old disney movies!

when this comes out in 3D I`m so gonna go see it, I don`t care if I`m the only 13 year old there! <3

  • @98missattitude lol trust me u wont be the only 13 year old cause im defintly going to see it:)

  • And I hope that one day, I'll meat a true love and everything will change ..

  • When I was a kid and watched this animated movie ..I wasn't really understanding the true meaning of it. About the message that this movie carries..but now when I watched it again when I am grown, it's just so unbelievable how true love changes everything. I have a lot of problems in life and the cause is me. Because of who I am. I am very selfish and rude and I can't really control my temper. When I was watching this movie again, I was like watching myself ..because I probably am the beast ..

  • The proper title for the song is "Beauty and the Beast".... just so you know.

  • I cry. Every time. Disney....I love you.

  • Walt you are a champion

  • I love this movie its so sweet and chip is so cute and sweet

  • 2:00 always gets a smile on my face. :)

  • Tale as old as time; song as old as rhyme.

Love the lyrics in this movie (and most of Disney's films).

  • Best song ever!!!!!!!!

  • R.I.P Nana (1954-2007) This was her favorite movie. Every time I hear this song, I think of her. I love you, Nana.

  • @Usagi393 she saved china. i think she can be a princess if she wants

  • @meganxoxo723 True, and I am not denying she can’t be, I am just confused on what exactly qualifies a character to be a Disney Princess: being/marrying into royalty and/or doing heroic actions? That is a pretty broad qualification, and if that is true, what isn’t Alice from Alice in Wonderland or Meg from Hercules a Disney Princess? To me at least, it just seems Disney picks and chooses who THEY want to qualify as a “princess” without any specific qualifications.

  • @Usagi393 i think its a mixture of both. all the disney princesses have the qualities that anyone would want in an actual princess. and for example mulan might not be an actual real life ruling princess. but she has the qualities that anyone can look up too. honestly alice didnt really do much in my opionion but that could just be from the fact i never liked the movie. and meg married hercules who was a god so i think she did pretty well for herself considering.

  • @meganxoxo723 Lol, yea, Alice was definitely better as the novel (the problem with the movie is that Disney did a weird hybrid of the original book and its sequel and it turned out confusing.) The Hercules movie never established that they got married, (it’s implied, but it’s not fact), and Hercules was offered the role as a God, but he declined it to stay on Earth as a mortal with Meg, so Meg never became an Earth Princess or a Goddess. I think she should be a Disney Princess, but I go back to

  • @meganxoxo723 my “Disney chooses who THEY want as a Princess” theory. Hercules wasn’t as financially successful as the other Disney Princess movies of the 90s, so, in my opinion, they choose not to include Meg because they didn’t think she would be as marketable or profitable as the other girls. That sounds really cynical, but Disney confuses the heck out of me with their decisions sometimes, and considering the massive amount of energy and money Disney dedicates to its marketing budget, I would

  • @meganxoxo723 say a lot of their decisions are based on advertising appeal (all solely based in my humble opinion, of course! ^_^)

  • saw this in 3D. had chills this entire part <3

  • This is one of those songs that gives me chills (':

  • the beast is gunna eat the fuck out of her pussy

  • I say we kill The Beast!!!!

  • Dressing up as Belle for my 21st birthday party. It's a Disney dress up party and I can't wait :)

  • if I get at least 100 likes, I'll get the courage to ask out the guy I have a crush on and we'll go see this in 3D.... *gulps*

  • @ariasings008 good luck! =)

  • you know the 1 thing funner than listening to disney movie songs?

listening to them in a language from the country they take place in :D

i.e. beauty and the beast songs in french, aladdin songs in arabic, and so forth (:

  • as a 19 year old straight male, this brings a tear to my eye :)

  • These were the best of times for me! No worries no drama.I remember i would never go to sleep unless i watched this. then my dad would pick me up and dance with me at the end to this song. :')

  • Going to go see this in 3D with a girl :D

  • This was the movie my mum and dad watched on their first date :)

  • @ailangeliceyes01 Wow, I feel so old! Thanks!

  • @hineighbor haha a year later i was made ;) so you're not that old bro xD

  • 94 beasts still haven't transformed into princes i see.....:/ dont worry, there's a beautiful princess for you somewhere in the world waiting for you :D

  • @BLONDEvsBRUNETTE831 when belle even came along, she wasnt even a princess but a commoner.

but nonetheless, they more likely than not wont ever find a girl wholl love him and hell love her in turn, and, unlike this beast, whom is only a beast on the outside, theyll be a beast inside AND out

  • This is most favorite movie would watch it over and over.

  • Did anyone else get chills right at the beginning when the Disney castle appeared? :') <3

  • I'M LIKE CRYING MY EYES OUT!!! OH GOD...WHY DID I LOOK THIS UP??? LOL

  • This is the best part of the movie!

  • She is pretty, he has money and he is beast. Good tail

  • this song reminds me when i had to be a sugercube for our local drama thing most embarressing part of my life ever!:$<3

  • How can you not love singing this song at the top of your lungs?

Sidenote: I actualy liked Gaston more than I did the Beast. they both had anger issues, which is a instant deal breaker, but to be perfectly honest if the towns hottest guy came along and had my dad locked away all while carrying my ass on his barge sized arms I wouldn't complain (teehee naughty smirk)...... I didn't like books anyway

  • where's stitch?

  • @stvnhkjr either ruining Ariel's solo, gategrashing Simba's christening as the Prince of Pride Rock or stealing Jasmine from Aladdin

  • @jediewok16 Haha sounds like something my dad would say xD

  • @jediewok16

Isn't.... Isn't that (possibly Also, not sure) from Batman? The Joker says it to Vicki Vale.

  • @BurtonNightmare07 ,I wouldn't put it past him to use it my entire childhood and pass it off as his own until I see that movie myself. XD He's wonderful like that. :)

  • @jediewok16

    Ah okay. ^_^

  • @jediewok16 Your dad stole the line from Jack Nicholson as the Joker in Batman. Still awesome though.

  • Angela Lansbury~ <33333333

  • Just finished watching the movie, and fell in love with the song

  • Even if it's just for profit, I love Disney for bringing this back to the big screen. Now give Little Mermaid a cinema re-release as well and Disney can do no wrong anymore.

    - Justin Pacho

(look in ur ask box babe)

  • This part of the, movie, reminds me that, family is the only true meaning this holiday

  • @davidbreaux504 actually i like the whole message of seeing whats inside that others cant...how others see an ugly hideous beast but she saw a loving soul that just needed someone to love in return

  • I prefer french version !!!!

  • For those of you who just insist on criticing the other Disney heroines, I honestly don't see how a mermaid being intrigued by the human world is stupid. Her interest in it, shows how much she wants to enrich her knowledge. Her love for Eric is very true, because she didn't choose just any human, but one who is brave, gentle and kind. He chose her for being the one who rescued him, something that not just any girl would do and gave signs of being in love until Vanessa came with Ariel's voice.

  • I also like Belle and know that the message behind this story is : "Love goes beyond appearance". Belle is the right character to play this role. But if we are really to compare Ariel and Belle in terms of beauty Ariel is far better. She is naturally beautiful, has the most beautiful voice, she is sweet and kind. Most importantly, she stands up for her dreams, even if it means going against a very powerful, strict, stubborn father who does not understand that she is diferrent and has grown up.

  • @Aquarius230 ariel is not far better than belle. in terms of beauty, personality, modesty, and overall character belle takes the cake. ariel is completely overrated and typical 16 year old. and its not like belle didnt stand up for what she believed in. constantly she is standing up for her father, she also goes against gaston who is beloved by her whole town, and she follows her heart with her feelings for the beast despite his appearance.

  • @MsNinjapuppies only beloved by the vain females or the drunk males...but yeah this is my favorite disney movie and totally plan on seeing it re-relased...they need to re release alot of the old classics to theaters

  • @MsNinjapuppies I am not against Belle. I bought the DVD and am saving it to watch with my niece when she will grow older. Belle indeed as a character is more appealing to the general public . But it does not make Ariel less than her.And she is actually prettier than Belle. Ariel's beauty is what is described as natural beauty in the real world. She does not need books and sophiscation to captivate hearts.

  • @MsNinjapuppies as a disney fan, I suggest you watch the movie and pay close attention to Ariel. Especially in Part of that World both the song the reprise, when she rescues Eric, when her father destroys her collection, when she goesto the town with Eric, when she gets her voice back, when Eric meets her, her wedding scene, the dinner scene, when she is combing her hair in the bedroom, etc... The guy that created her,as well as the beast, did a great job! And she was his first female character!

  • @MsNinjapuppies.Not to forget that it is pretty obvious that Belle and Jasmine were drawn based on Ariel's image with a few changes.I also think that Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine are prettier than Belle. My judgements are based on what is typically understood to be the type of beauty, appropiate for fairy tale princeses. I am actually glad Disney moved away from that and created characters like Poccahontas, Esmaralda and Mulan. Nice exchanging thoughts with you.

  • @Aquarius230 nope. your dumb. ariel is just average. shes alright pretty. but all she wants is to get her 16 year old va jj wet. belle shows natural beauty in all aspects and what a real woman should be like.

  • @MsNinjapuppies No need to be rude and nasty. End of discussion.

  • True Love.

  • i want this sung at my wedding.

  • Best movie Disney made :)

  • looks like gaston has 87 you tube accounts

  • this movie totally puts me in mind of Dax and Worf.

  • i just started crying in the middle of the song

  • @thedm786 Off the the cupboard with you ;o)

  • the song name is beauty and the beast not tale as old as time XD

  • @IamKindaAngry It was probably an attempt to keep confusion at bay.

  • @IamKindaAngry the official name is Tale as old as time, people just call it beauty and the beast

  • this was my favorite movie as a kid... and i still love it. it has such an important meaning :)

  • This makes me wanna be 8 again bring back good memories :D

  • Wheres my childhood? Oh here you are

  • Not liking this song is like not having cried when Mufasa died...wtf?

  • Aqw

  • Ah childhood. I wuv you. *deep hug*

I turned into the beast but life's a bitch and princesses like Belle do not exist. FML.

  • Thumbs up if your going to see this in theathers again.

  • @marmik961 It's out in theaters again!? Holy carp why wasn't I informed earlier!?

  • @BetaJackMaxis I saw the trailer for it when I went to see Aurther Christmas they havn't shown the trailer on tv yet.

  • @marmik961 Lol I'm going dressed up as Belle :)

  • @marmik961 I CANT FREAKING WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite disney movie, and im a straight 25 year old guy hahaha......:p

  • @TheHomelessNinja Ain't no shame in that my fellow 90's kid isn't it great that Disney has their magic back.

  • eternity love. This is what couples nowadays lack.Belle love the beast because he is kind and gentle, not his looks. The beast is willing to give up anything for Belle. This is true love...

  • There is no need put down the other female disney characters. Actually Jasmine as a princess, definitely had to be educated. In addition to that, she showed that she has a mind of her own by refusing to get married just because of some stupid law, and that is not being spoiled.Aladdin showed her that loving someone starts with liking that person's personality and not a royal tittle. She actually started liking him when he showed signs of being the street boy that saved her at the marketplace.

  • So...Belle is into furry?

  • @SirEwonJung no she is in love with the inside of the beast. She loves adams heart for how he is not because he is a furry. Thats so rude to say

  • @calegirl2469 Was I speaking to you? No, so please keep your rudeness to an untagged comment. Secondly, his is your second post responding about furries in the last hour. Do the world a favor and shut your mouth for 24 hours until you have something new to say.

    Thanks so much,

    Me

  • @SirEwonJung Dear troll, please do the world a favor by shutting YOUR mouth. When you make a public comment pretty much anywhere on the internet, and especially in sites like youtube, you can expect people to answer you, since it's like you're talking to everybody at once.

So if all you've got to say is a four-word-long "witty" comment reducing a beautiful movie to a meme, while either not having a clue about what you're saying, or just not caring, then accept to be told the truth by other ppl.

  • @calegirl2469 closet furry lover, you are....lol

  • @yourGODLYhero hahahahaha... I'm laughing out loud...lol

  • I ain't sayin shes a gold digger...

  • I love this movie so much. It gave me chills listening to this and remembering my childhood.

  • Bought this in 3D today, im 20~ it was great to re-live childhood~ it was absolutely fantastic in 3D i recommend it! :)

  • She looks like christene from phantom of the opera

  • I love angela Lansbury's voice

  • No matter how old I get this will still be my favorite Disney movie <3

  • i had the VHS of this years ago when i was a kid. best love scene ever!

  • I'm a 24 year old guy and I think this is one of the best Disney scenes ever... possibly the best.

  • @Korsik01 The world needs more guys like you :)

  • I may not be old enough to remember this in the cinema's (I wasn't even born!) but I do remember going to the cinema to see Mulan, Toy Story 2etc. I've still got this on video and I've watched it that often, it's funny in some places. I bet when this comes out in 3D an if I go to see it, I'll be mumbling the dialouge to myself. Im 1 and I didn't grow up with HSM *shudder*or Jonas Brothers, I grew up with classics like these. LONG LIVE OLD DISNEY!!!!!!!!!

  • @TwinGleeks101 i couldnt go to see any of the old ones (i wasnt born yet) but i did see Toy Story 3 and most of the Pixar movies.... Disney NEVER gets old... :D i think it says something about our society for kids to be growing up with twilight, HSM, Jonas Brothers, etc... though we do have some Disney (as theyre remaking some) and Harry Potter, so maybe were getting somewhere

  • =]

  • All in all I have to say that I have a priviledged childhood: loving home, private schooling, pet dogs. The icing on the cake was these Disney movies that my family and I watched IN THEATRES. Little Mermaid, Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas. I know there is a very slim chance of the magic returning for future generation, but I hope there is an equivalent for them.

  • @bwillwu maybe we can give them that chance by showing them these movies instead of some of the spoofs of today (im not saying there are NO good movies, im just saying disney tops all.. except harry potter- its a tie)

  • @Ktkraze exactly! i'm not sure which movies is better. harry potter is epic and has awesome magic, when disney movies has love and happy endings. :)

  • @Ktkraze, Harry Potter and Disney movies were my childhood, only Harry Potter beats it, and that's just barely passing. <3

  • @SharksRule567 i cannot agree more... <3 disney and harry pottter

  • Hey everybody!! Let's get Disney's attention!! Disney you need to make a channel where they show their old movies and shows. Disney we want the magic we used to feel back.

Let's all tell Disney how much we miss the old Disney. Thumbs up this comment and repost to different disney videos and maybe we can let Disney know how we feel. I don't know if this will work, but if we all chip in maybe it will. As Disney says "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.

  • im doing the play beauty and the beast and i go t the part of bell! ( roll lead!) now im listening to this song and looking at bell and the beast and thinking... " Hmmm how do you think i will look dancing with the beast?" im so excited for the play!

  • I remember cheering on Simba when he fought Scar. I remember booing at Ursela, when she took Ariels voice. I remember fighting the Huns side by side with Mulan. I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas. I remember being locked in the Beast's castle. I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends. I don't remember watching Teen Drama on stupid Disney Channel. Copy and paste this to all you favorite Disney Videos, and let's start a revolution. W. Disney 4ever
