I couldn't agree more. I can't stand when people use plastic for everything. What's even worse is when they have to keep sliding the card if it doesn't work. I use cash for everything. It's much easier and I don't have to save all those receipts. I put all the spare change away in my 3 gallon water bottle. All of it goes into my savings when it gets full. More people should be doing that. You should use your card if you REALLY need to. Think of how much money people would save.

People don't carry cash because debits cards are safer and easier. Also, with a debit card you don't have to sign your name at all. That's what the four digit pin number is for. Also, a lot of people have their checks directly deposited in their bank accounts these days. Meaning they don't have cash and everything is on their debit card. We use our debit card for everything. They swipe it, enter pin, get receipt, go. Don't have to carry cash that could get stolen and it's much quicker.

People don't carry cash because debits cards are safer and easier. Also, with a debit card you don't have to sign your name at all. That's what the four digit pin number is for. Also, a lot of people have their checks directly deposited in their bank accounts these days. Meaning they don't have cash and everything is on their debit card. We use our debit card for everything. They swipe it, enter pin, get receipt, go. Don't have to carry cash that could get stolen and it's much quicker.

At least with the debit card they're actually paying for it right there. What scares me to death about this country is when people use CREDIT cards to buy the stuff you're talking about. 80 cents is nothing, but how about 300 little things that cost 80 cents? It all adds up, and then people act like their rights are being violated when the collectors call them on the phone. If you bought it, why shouldn't you be expected to pay for it? Oh, banks are supposed to just give you money for free.

I only use cash, The only credit card I have is a bank card (which you cant get charged for by this wacko companies like master-card, and the money comes directly out of your account) which I use for buying stuff online

Actually what upsets me is that cashiers don't know how to fucking count anymore. It's like you ask for change and they're like "Dee dee dee". I kid you not. I had to count the change to the stupid bitch, because he didn't know what a change of a dollar was. Everyone knows it's 4 quarters or 10 dimes or 20 nickels or even 100 pennies. This guy was totally spaced out. People are morons... period! I'm terrible at algebra, but with money I don't play. I'm awesome with cash. 5 stars for this.

If you don't have the money to buy something on you, you probably shouldn't buy it because that means you probably can't afford it. For instance, people who use their credit card to buy a pack of cigarettes. I can understand if you are buying a load of groceries, but using a card for a purchase of a candy bar? That's pointless.

(-_-) it's not that hard, I'm in college with barly any money I still keep a five or ten in my pocket for stuff like this. At work some costomers annoy me when they get one or two items for under five dollors and then ask to use debit, and then not even get money back. Credit is ok with the Visa thing, but Debit is another story waiting to have them punch in the numbers and cash back before aproving.

dude... relax. Some peoples' debit cards have no fees, making it easy to just use them instead of cash. It's more convenient, and offloads cash handling fees from the store.
