It is sad that directors have to stoop to smartass gimmicks in order to get a point across to "modern" audience. If all this was said in a normal way, all of you would call it pathetic preaching. But when said like this, it's a masterpiece. Now that's pathetic.

My god, I have seen one hour lectures on philosophy more to the point then this piece of (pardon the pun) garbage. I mean, what a waste of 12 minutes! "Island of flowers is bad because there are poor people there, give them your hard earned money". There, I just saved you 12 fucking minutes. What a waste...

@MRjerkface I completely agree. The man who man who made this movie & who wrote the script tis a genius! This move may have been made in 1989 but is still pertinent to 2010!
