  • no snails they arnt good and starfish are hard to keep

  • Very cool. Thanks.

  • hey ive had a 20 gal freshwater tank for about 7 years now and i really want to start a saltwater tank and id really appreciate it if you could message me so i can ask some questions and get advice about starting, thank you

  • Very Helpful:)))

  • dang you didnt skip a thing

  • also if you use live sand and live rock and real ocean water it takes about 2-3 weeks to cycle the tank.

  • you dont need to have a protein skimmer to have coarl

  • Where can you buy reverse osmosis water?

  • seems to be u dont know tht u can buy this stuff called live bacteria then u dont have to wait 6 to 8 weeks u can get a fish 15 minutes after u put the bacteria in !

  • @2723haun Actually, I believe the product he put in was indeed a bacteria culture. The problem is that you need to let the bacteria eat and breed before they can possibly deal with all the fish waste. This takes time, and even though the stores tell you that you can put in fish right away (it increases their profits) the tank is NOT ready for fish until the bacteria have had time to establish a colony.

  • deep six. giggity lol

  • shit i will go to the ocean and get water and sand and fish

  • @thebowboy1 thats what i did for my 40 gallon

  • @JDCredible yah lol

  • @thebowboy1 saved me alot of money i got a crab lion fish clown fish and other ones i go diving like the dentist in finding nemo (i upgraded my tank to a 100 gallon)

  • @JDCredible thats cool yah i got some fish yesterday and sand live rock to from the ocean

  • Waahh I got many tanks ( 20 gallon , 55 gallon , 10 gallons x10 ) for free or $15 ( for the 55 gallon tank ) from craigslist lol and you paid $40 for a 20 gallon on craigslist?

    Nice video though :3

  • Do I have to have a power head?

  • Do you have a protein skimmer or just the AquaClear filter? Also, what type of media are you using in it? How's your tank doing now?

  • i must say this and i work at a fish ONLY store for a 20 gal. tank you need atleast 18-20 lbs. of live rock.live sand aswell.and yeah it takes 1 month to cycle if i can i will make a viedo on how i do it but this is a nice tank.and aquariumcentral you can have coral with out a protein skimmer just pick the corals you would like and see if they need a softer light or a strong/very strong light hope this helps noobs:] to the hobbie

  • thanks this video helped alot

  • i have the aquaclear 50 as well and its extremely loud, is yours silent?

  • You don't need a filter.

  • they taxed u lol... if u go on craigslist u can buy a 55 for about $150 set up and running

  • you will need a lot more live rock body

  • thank you this was very helpful

  • in england it cost £8.25

  • rip off my 20 gall was 30 at petco

  • should I get a small saltwater fish tank or a 52 inch marine tank and I heard form another video that you can put fish in your tank after 72 hours.

  • so cool thanks alot

  • when we started are 55 gallon salt we had 10-20 lbs of base rock and a soft coral grew on it we had the coral in there for two - three weeks without a skimmer and it was staying alive i still recomend getting a skimmer though and the coral is know 2 to 3 inches tall.

  • your pricing is about right as far as filter, live rock, heater. but i bought the correct light for a 20 gallon to grow all corals and anemones and that like alone for 24" bulbs was $160 + $40 warranty for 4 years, all im saying is investment on a 20 gallon saltwater is easily $460 without the tank and stand included ;)

  • @puckandlou I use the foam inserts ment for aquaclear filters, activated carbon and something similar to bioballs. Additionally I have the 15 pounds of liverock.

@sdakjln Hydromiters in Canada tend to be $10-$25.

  • what media do you use in that filtration

  • $10's on a hydromiter!! you spent to mutch on one normaly their about $2

  • MAKE MORE VIDS MAN U STOPPED COMING KEEP EM CMONG plz man update make some new vids i wanna know bout the guppy tank and how its been im planning on getting a breedinbg tank but use u made mreo vid plz and ty =D

  • Nice video. Very informative. I just started a 10 gallon saltwater fish only tank. No live rock. Just fish. I am cycling it with a clownfish since they are fairly hardy fish. I also have been keeping up with the water changes so the ammonia levels don't reach dangerous levels for the fish. So far so good.

  • remember people... don't buy a cheapo crap heater. buy from trusted brands like eheim. As for fish suggestions :) how about a bicolor blenny. you'll need more rock for him to run around in though. I'll have my tank video posted up soon so be sure to check it out :). like your tanks its a 20 gallon, but the long version. good luck with your tank

  • dang dude u really spend alot of money on your fish

  • Hi, thanks so much for the great information! I'm actually getting ready to start my 20 gal tank this week. After a recent trip to Hawaii I decided I have to do a salt water setup!

I'm looking forward to your updates! Good luck :)
