This isnt just going on in MI. Im battling to save my farm & home in WV. All this over a $2600.00 balance that I cant pay untill april. Its sad, our govt sends monies to aid foreign countries constantly, but when its the american farmer who needs a hand our own FSA fights against us. Bless yall and hope it turns out for the best... DJ
The trustees are part of the problem too. They offered to reinstate my loan for %30 of late payments. I accepted. The paperwork never arrived. I called the bank and trustee daily but it still went to trustee sale. Nobody showed up, now the government owns it. I talked to RE lawyer and was told that this was a common practice!

FTB, screw the Pretender Lenders. 60 million fraudulent loans, where the title and note have conveniently disappeared. When you pay off the note, whos going to give you clear title? The best way to tale back Amerika is to refuse to pay the banksters. Tea Party, my ass, I smell a Revolution!
same situation....get an attorney..to much corruption in the paper system and mers...fight these jags. F@#k Chase and all the other banks.. They make way more on foreclosing then modification. thanks to the bailout to AIG and big banks. The Gov allowed this because all there buds (big banks ) were making huge money...and now with the biggest financial heist in American history they have hedged there bets and made money on the bailouts. For the people by the people.nope. For the Gov. by big bus.
I am fighting to Keep my Home/Farm also. I have complied with Wells Fargo bank and jumped through all the hoops they asked me too, I gave them all of my Retirement Money, and they still foreclosed even though they were suppose to be working on the HAMP Home Affordable Mortgage Program with me, in the middle of it they sold my Home / Farm back to them selves. Giving them all the equity built in my home and land now that there is sewer and water at street it has more than doubled in value.
Nobody knows and nobody cares. I am from Mi and will soon lose the only home my family has. It is sickening to listento those that say we were just stupid with debt and money. We were about as conservative as you can be. Michigan is dwroning and its bankers and lawers wouldnt thow a life preserver unless there was gold in your pockets.
Since this video was made, has the bank foreclosed on this farm? Is it too late or is there still something that can be done to help these family farmers? They should have appealed to FarmAid for help after all they are family farmers and those are the people that Farm Aid helps in their moments of great need.
Shame on greenstone for thinking that this is not a viable product. They have a bank in St. Johns which holds an annual mint festival. Are they a sponser? If so I think we should boo then right out of the parade!
Well of course the bank doesnt care. All they want is their god damn money, and they dont care who they have to step on to get it. They dont care about your situation, all they do is find ways of covering their own asses.
The majority of these loan's (due to death, relocating of familie's etc) would be paid off way before 40 or 50 years.
Leaving it up to the bank's to do this is akin to putting the fox in the hen house to protect them. "The Change We Need" must come from the Federal government.
Unfortunately, President elect Obama has not addressed the foreclosure problem. I know of a friend who was layed off from a county job & his home is at this very moment been put up for foreclosure. The bank couldn't give a damn about him, his wife or infant daughter & yet our moronic government has bailed them out & no one in government seems to have a clue where these hundreds of billions of dollars to them has gone.
This sub prime mortgage mess would have never happened if We the People who do not have high paying jobs would have been granted the right to borrow a low interest home mortgage loan based on income directly from the Federal Reserve Bank which should be nationalized for the moderate income working class people of our nation who for too long have been enslaved by banks and lending institutions by high interest rates on money that they receive at a low interest rate from the Fed.
Very informative video. I took some notes on the video and how it was done. I gave it 5 stars. Check out our vids and tell me what you think? We have some good stuff also.
If I had a million dollars, if I had a millions dollars, I would buy into your farm, I would buy into your mint farm. (Barenaked ladies song) I would market your product far and wide to all the aromatherapists, all the spas, worldwide. And all would know the Crosby name and know it means healing. I hope you can heal the wounds created by your thoughts.
Once the inventory is all sold, how do you then make payments? How do you stop another missed payment, another foreclosure action.
How many missed payments can the bank handle before it goes belly up itself? You are but one client. What else is going on in their finances? Who will help the bank when people don't pay them? How will they feed their families? What is the difference between a hand up and a hand out. What happened to the handout the government gave you for your new equipment?
Fiat is money issued by government order that is not backed by precious metals. Because it has no intrinsic value it is vulnerable to inflation and manipulation by the banks. Big business favors fiat because credit is easy to obtain, but the consumer and average person is given a rotten deal with money that is continually losing its value.
I don't want to sound like an antagonist or unsympathetic, but why was there a mortgage on a farm that has been in the family for 90+ years? If you don't have any debts, none of your property will get taken as collateral.
When I was younger, I had to go to saturday school for a month. I stumble across a small batch of mint farm in school when I was cleaning it. When no one is looking, I would crush the leaves into my palms and inhale the aroma then chew/swallow them. Helped me get through the day and kept me from causing trouble when I was there :D
This is horrible! I'm heading to your site right now to buy some mint. It's a little but maybe it can help a bit. We need farms like yours. I am sending you lots of good energy!!! Keep up the fight!

@PolPpl - Did the bank produce the Note? Not a copy, not a photo, the note that has your DNA on it!

Maybe you should have paid your bills

Do your research. They were LATE on one payment in 2006---that doesn't equate to not paying their bills.
The US government can bail out the banks, but they can't bail out the farmers and the homeowners?
This is just wrong.
