What is the name of the film you used to cover your paper with? And what paper do you use? I would appreciate it if you could answer my question. Thank you.
@azuljay I used Aquabee Marker paper, but I'd recommend x-press it Blending card as the denser surface doesn't lead to tearing as much. The film is Grafix frisket film. you can get a low tack variety that works well. There is also some from X-press it.
Hi, just one little Question, can i use this system with touch twin markers too ? i mean, the form from the touch twin markers are the same than the copics ^^..., what would you say ?... thnx...
Hey there! I have a question? Does the Copic Airbrush work with any air compressor? Or do I have to buy the Copic air compressor? Because I already own a compressor, and also own many copic markers, and this looks like a good investment.
@DuckTapeMaster01 OK, then that's the first answer "no they're actually using less ink than if you were colouring normally." It doesn't harm the marker at all
@xxAztecxx I know people do colour on fabric with copics. you'd have to experiment with it. Also copics aren't lightfast so it would make a pretty temporary design on your shirt.
you're best bet for Tshirts is using a real paint airbrush and using a fabric paint.
@Nijichan3 you cover up the area you don't want paint. you either cut out shapes with paper, or use frisket film. Frisket film is a low tack clear plastic sheet. you cut it out like you would any other stencil type thing.
@riqmoon Honestly, Not much! LOL. Its too fine of a mist to do anything really, so it doesn't soak into anything. the most it makes sometimes is a bit of a texture pattern.

@SummonAstarot If they fit in the holder, and the nib lines up - yes.
You'd have to test it. I sold all my touch markers so I don't have any to test :P

ARTimationChicago 2 months ago
@ARTimationChicago any compressor with the right fitting, which is a standard Iwata fitting. I have an Iwata Smart Jet Compressor for mine :)
if the compressor doesn't have the right fitting you can get adaptors :)

does the aibrush101 make the copic markers go out easily
DuckTapeMaster01 3 months ago
@DuckTapeMaster01 Not sure waht you mean by "go out" so I'll answer multiple ways:
Dry out: no they're actually using less ink than if you were colouring normally.
if the Ink comes out easily: yes it flows easily when positioned correctly. some colours spray more than others.
Removing the marker from the airbrush: yes, it clicks in an out rather effortlessly.
I hope one of these is the answer you were looking for.

What compressor are you using?
It seems to be very quiet.

@claysculpter Iwata Smart Jet. It's a wonderfully quiet one :) I really recommend it. It's been flawless.

Umm.... could you re-explain the whole "covering up the paper" thingy to me? I didn't really get how you cut it out

Just a silly question here, what happens if you put in a colorless blender?

This doesn't work with copic ciao markers ?
Sakuems 9 months ago
@Sakuems They're too small to fit in, but if you put some of the adhesive putty in the handle you can get them in the right position to use them :)

@gurukitty Ok thanks ^^

I was told that if u put some blue tack on the holder where the pen rests, you can use copic ciaos, does anybody know if this works? thanks!

@CraftingMum Ya, it would work. It's just a bit more fiddly.

THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! The ABS1 system is the one I want... can I hook up a air can 180 to it if I wanted to? Instead of that air can it comes with?
Great tutorial!! XD
shoujoluvr707 1 year ago
@shoujoluvr707 Yes, you should be able to attach the 180 can to it because it has the adaptor, but you can't connect it directly to the airgrip.
Frankly the cans are a waste of money though D:
