  • I don't know why you were saying "big difference" Bill. The before and after almost sounded exactly the same. To go from your before to your after and throw in 2 hours of work in my opinion is NOT worth it. I think I would get the same or better result with a bottle of rubbing alcohol, 2 tablespoons of liquid soap and water. If these are the results this machine is NOT worth $100.00

  • thumbs up'd the 'didn't hear much difference'...

  • what would happen if your records got scratches but still work? what would you do?

  • and boohoo, fingerprints and hair ohohoh

  • Price is right. However, you need to put a sample of a non clean record played twice, as the first time it is played, it always sound better, (the needle removes particles/static etc).

  • I dont get it about THE LABELS??? If you put liquid in the labels, destroy the paper labels??????

  • @anderzom That is what I wonder about also.

  • @xMusicIsMyGasolinex I think is better save and buy a real cleaning machine

  • Didn't notice much difference in the sound at all.

  • Bill, I read that this particular model was cheaply made and not worth the money also that they machine damages the outer part of the record. If so, why would you recommend what others are saying is a very cheaply makde product and not worth the money. What say you?

  • Hey Bill, I noticed you dried your records in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction. Did you notice the manufacturer recommends drying in a CLOCKWISE direction? Have you tried this and did it make a difference? The reason I ask is because I cleaned 50+ records last night and dried them like you did in the video before I re-read the instructions. Thanks. Btw, great video.

  • Does the fluid leave any residue that can build on the stylus??

  • I used my Spin Clean for the first time last night. My partner used to DJ about a zillion years ago and his records are BEAT UP!! There is very little that will do more damage than a teenager pulling and shoving at crates and scratching and every once in a while actually putting a record back in a cover. Is that resin??? I plan on a 2 step process: cleaning covers & records & cataloging then, I may have to try something for the grooves.

Have you tried Groove Glide? Is it any good?

  • Hey Bill, I enjoyed your video and I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! As for the samples, my partner listened to the before and after and didn't hear much of a difference, I listened and could very clearly hear a difference in the fullness of the audio output. This is apparently subjective....but since it's my new toy, I don't care! I can hear it. Also, the records you used for samples sound fine. Getting rid of them for those minor pops would be a bit excessive in my opinion.

  • Great video, thanks for the demo.

  • Hi Bill! I watched your video at the Spin Clean site. On the 3 records that you cleaned with the before and after sound sample, to tell you the truth, I couldn't tell a difference in the sound quality. I'll admit that I'm half deaf, but the static at the beginning of each sample is still very prominent. If I get records that sound that bad, if I couldn't get rid of it by cleaning, I'd toss the record. I have 50 year old records which I bought new that don't sound that bad!
