Blues-rock at best. On another note, Hendrix coming up as the best guitar player on a Gibson poll should have hurt considering that he's known for playing the Fender Stratocaster :D Although, it is true that he also played a Flying V on some occasions :/

@altadena57 I also have an ES 335, which I absolutely love. I've been through every guitar imaginable over the past 30 years, and I still find my 335 to be the most versatile, and it plays like butter. I still keep a couple of Strats, Teles, and an SG around, but my 335 is by far my favorite.

A great blues lick! Thank you for posting. To me, I can hear an Earl Hooker influence on this lick. Some of Earl's playing was very moody sounding. Also, that first bend sounds like a slide lick, something that Earl was known for.
