Reminds me of my GSP, whom I sadly lost recently. (She was 14) She was larger of course, and could actually get the ducks, which I had to discourage greatly. Love the energy here, and a beautifully marked dog.
that was funny how he could hop thru the shallow water after the ducks, these dogs have amazing talents, I ve seen one dive in a hole and pulled a huge mole out of nowhere within 3 feet down and they are fun to play with regarding their size. they are such companions , very royal as long u treat em right.
I recently lost my fox terrier had her for 17 years she has so smart and had so much energy she was crazy eventually old age got to her and her organs were shutting down was the worst day of my live having to get her put down took me weeks to get over it they are a amazing breed
@nash3timemvp your post was so sad. My Misty is 16 and totally deaf now but still up for a walk. I just dread the day when we lose her. They are smart, loyal and very loving. We've had 3 over the past 28 years and wouldn'y have any other breed.

I had a fox terrier from about 1960,when I was five, until I was almost eighteen. He was just a wonderful dog. He used to follow me to school and try to hide behind a gate or tree when I looked back. He was really smart. It was like losing a child, when he finally got old and died. This was in County Durham UK
Can't believe that this isn't our foxie, they say everyone has a double. Gave us a great laugh and watched it over and over. They are an amazing breed and very hard to find these days here in Australia. Thanks for sharing.
We have Smooths, show them. Mine, 3 years ago caught a Robin in flight!.. messy as heck. She also stalked a squirrel and came with in 3 feet of it.. took her an hour!
Does your fox terrier bark a lot? We just adopted one and he has only yapped once in four months. Was wondering if that was normal or a personality thing for him. He is an older dog. 5 years.
Do these dogs swim? My Amstaff would have swam all the way across that pond if he really wanted to get to the ducks. H wouldn't do anything with them but he would have gone to see what they were about.
Again, will have to place another comment. Perfect song to the video, and the breed. They never give up. More ducks, smaller pond, different outcome. :)
She looks quite a bit like mah man "Buster" except he has a one sided saddle. Also he has darker browns, and one front leg is about an inch longer than the other. Heh
I loved watching her hopping all over the place to catch the ducks. she is so cute. we had a fox terrier bitch named pudding and she left us in 2005. i miss her so much and your dog reminds me so much of her. god bless her!
@Mem1061 i have a fox terrier smooth, just like this one only he's black and white, they are so smart and energetic and he loves to swim!!! They are so adorable when they sleep! (Which they barley do) LOL
My smooth, Chili, now has prick ears- they flopped til she was 3, then for about 4 mos they took turns standing up, it was funny, finally they both stayed up. I heard that showdog folks sometimes paste ears to keep it from happening, but I don't care! BTW- this dog is ADORABLE!! : )
I'm so sorry to hear that. I actually got this dog last December. She came from a rescuer group when she was ten months old. They're so athletic. I love watching all the maneuvers she comes up with for water and snow. Thank you for commenting!
My fox terrier/iceland sheep dog loves the water and jumps in the sea without thinking and we are talking the north atlantik with temps down to 0 - 1 celsius or 32 - 34 fahrenheit. And he keeps chasing geese :)

@nash3timemvp It's told that some dogs, just before die, go and abandon their owner because they don't want the owner to see then die.

Reminds of my SFT when we took her to the beach (winter, no people around).
We were afraid she was going to die of a heart attack because she did not stop chasing the seagulls and screaming (not barking) at them all day.

I am the luckiest men on earth I own a smooth fox terrier, which I love to death, my ex wife kept every thing I said I will keep Jack.
however he shed a lot, is there anything i can do to make him shed less hair?
saleman101 1 year ago
@saleman101
RE: SFT and shedding.
Purchase a good stripping comb and learn to strip out
the dead hair. This will keep down the shedding.
