  • lily may's not the only one who learned how to rope a steer yesterday.. IS SHE HAL?!

  • OMG... I'ts been sooo long.. I forgot how good Exit 57 was.... I wish there were some better quality clips...

  • It sounds like the daughter's name is "Lurly May."

  • this is probably my favorite exit 57 skit. so glad it's online so i can show my friends =D

  • lol, this is so weird, but funny!

  • I wouldn't mind helping Drifter with the river trouble.

  • Actually, I think it is a parody of the American Gothic style of theater, like what Sam Shepherd writes - Buried Child especially. Sorry to sound like a theater nerd :). I worked on Buried Child in college as an assistant stage manager, and this sketch made me laugh really hard.

  • @skirch01 Man, that play. I was in that play in freshman year of highschool- at least it wasn't as graphic as this...

  • It's just so damn awkward

  • Like most of Exit 57, this clip makes ZERO sense, and yet is still pretty funny. I think Stephen looks pretty good here.

  • Oh god, I remember watching this in high school. I still don't know what the fuck is going on except that this is extremely incestuous and that Amy Sedaris is amazing. Oh Drifter, looks like you've taught everyone in that room how to rope a steer.

  • Is there a DVD of this show? I was only 6 or 7 when it was on tv, and now that comedy central's playing Strangers With Candy again, I'm in love with the Colbert/Dinello/Sedaris team.

  • unfortunately no :( there are only bootlegs available and some downloads floating around online

  • so awkward! i love it

  • Excellent post! This show was so good. I love all the awkward pauses and breaks in this. "Lilly Mae!!"

  • thanks for posting this

  • Exit 57

  • What show is this from?

  • this is Exit 57 which ran on comedy central from 1995-1996 and stared Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris
