  • Every single woman have seen on youtube doing pull ups swing there bodies and legs to gain more momentum. can any female actually do a proper pull up

  • Would have been more impressive if you had used any sort of proper form at all. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty good (for a girl), but try crossing your legs next time so that you aren't pushing up with your body, but pulling entirely with your arms.

    Never understood why girls(especially pretty ones) would ever want muscle. It just turns guys off of them.

  • @RottingCore jeez, maybe because they want to be strong and aren't desperate enough to shape their bodies to what guys think is sexy. In my opinion, being able to do 12 kipping pull-ups is sexy

  • @trashbash2001 It's not sexist, it's just a perspective. Just because i don't understand it doesn't mean i am against it entirely.

    Unless you are talking about my "for a girl" statement, in which case you should know that had i not said "for a girl" i would have been flooded with comments like "come on dude, she is just a girl" like i do in most other videos.

  • Anybody who cannot do proper pull-ups to start with is far better off doing negatives. In other words, use a chair or other means to position oneself with chin above the bar and then slowly lower yourself down. Repeat...

    Kipping pullups do not use the same kinetic chain as true pullups. As a result there is no real transferrability to "true" pullups.

    Do those negatives, instead. ;-)

  • a rounded athlete should be able to do kipping pullups as well as deadhang pullups... your comments are completely opinion. look up Chris Spealer doing 100+ continuous pullups without coming off the bar. Find me one person in the world who can do such a feat "deadhang" style

  • Those are kipping pullups.....but let's see her doing as many without her arms bent...I believe she only did a few at the end where her arms were straight.....much harder to do if you start each one with straight arms!!!! way harder!!!

  • In the video she began moving her leg at like 5 pullups, so from the video I would say about 4-5 pullups, but she is probably a beast right now and could do 20 regular pullups maybe :D

  • You use your legs to lift yourself thats not a pull up, pull-ups work the biceps and triceps, your using your legs to swing yourself up where as they should bend into your chest. Cheat.

    Pullups have nothing to do with triceps.

    They are moved primarily by the lats and secondarily by the biceps.

    What she is doing is called kipping, to help increase numbers and be more of a metabolic workout.

    Kipping or not, it is still a workout, and takes strength.

    Doing dead hangs could be better for pure strength, but that isn't "cheating"

  • no, it is cheating. the tittle doesn't say 12 kipping pullups. kipping pullups are far easier to do than dead hangs. yes kipping pullups are still useful and a very valid form of exercise, but the title says she did 12 pull ups, and that is VERY different from doing 12 kipping pullups.

  • Wrong, Pull ups don't work the triceps, not unless you pull up past beyond the bar. I have to agree though that the title is misleading. These aren't pull ups in the strictest sense of the word.

    However, arguing about it, specially over the internet, that's resembling cranky old women's gossiping.

  • that is true they dont and im not sure if since you commented this they changed the title but now it does say kipping pull ups so now it is being correct thats pretty good though cause ive seen guys in sports wanna be tough and all and with kipping they could get 10 lol

  • she goes down halfway, and uses more momemtum than arm strength to get up. Better than most guys i will give you that but do post some real chinups/pullups going all the way down,keeping steady, and using a bar i bet you can do about 3-4.

  • do like 2 or 3 of those sets a day every day, and increse by 1 rep per set each week. youll wish your arms would fall off, but, in 13 weeks you will be up to 50 pull ups. once you get there, post the vid on here and watch the comments come in
