@MsJeffreyblaine Maybe if you have no appreciation for incredible musicianship. I assume you just made a grammar error here though. Maps and Atlases are incredible live.
I hate the hipsters in the front acting like they're on acid because they listen to music that's "exclusive" and not on the radio. This isn't weird music. It's just straight up amazing, which can be achieved without drugs.
@redfoxskater i apologize if you took offense to that, probably shouldn't have been said. i'm just saying let people do their own thing. if that's his way of enjoying it, let him be. i'm just sick of everyone picking out individuals and lumping them into these categories of people. it's silly and unfortunate. i don't even like maps and atlases but that crowd sure does.
the drummers a cool guy, he bought an ajax snare from my dad's shop... the guys got class, that shits from the 50's... thats actually what turned me on to them... great band, very talented too, I play drums myself and there is no way in hell I could play the god damn xylophone (takes serious multitasking)
thought of click on a random performer.. all i saw was the thumbnail of a guy and a guitar... they r alrite! mite even see more of them even contemplating download their torrents... good surprise!
@rkb12222 i don't doubt you, but this is not the question. the question is "does your friend write good songs like him?" if so, send us a link to buy a record. ;)
Don't get me wrong, I love Maps & Atlases but their singer's voice can get really haggard live. If he could just get his voice more into gear during live sets, then honestly I would't be able to pick out any other flaws in this band. They're so amazing!
@Adriancrazysir@rajtherat Makes way more sense to count it in 6 so the majority of the polyrhythms fall on the count; also this means the back-beats fall on the count so they're not on 2 then 1 then 3 but 2 4 and 6 instead. Obviously it could be counted either way - I wouldn't be surprised if each of the guys counted it differently - but from a learning perspective, 6 makes this a lot more comprehensible than 3.
i bought their album, wore the helll out of that cd, know everyword everybeat, sort of lost track of them for about amost a year, glad to hear new stuff.

first of all rkb1222, your friend didn't right the song, so who cares.
