You are a talented musician. You are good on piano, you have beautiful and lovely voice. You can make a good music; harmonious combination of sounds, voice, lyric, melody and rythm. I love your rare talent.
Thank you for putting your video up here! I never had a piano and so I never had a piano lesson. I love piano so much and this piece is so wonderful. You showed me, that I should never ever give up my dream of playing the piano one day :) For me, it's really impressing that you learned this piece all by yourself. Keep up the good work!
I've noticed no matter how hard you work on a peice, you can always improve this part or that part, believe me when you get a piano instructor they'll nit pick...thats' what I love about it.
But I liked what I heard. Nice tempo, and nice sense of rubato. Now try experiment with the dynamics a bit more...
Thank you for the encouragement. I now play much better (mainly emotionally). I was too stiff and slow and lack of emotion in this video that sometimes I wish I had waited till now to tape it. I play faster and much more smoother now but may not be able to record it again since there's too much on hands to handle. I've learned Yanni's "In the Morning Light" and would love to record before my China trip next month.
Finally, I had a chance to see and hear your piano playing. I almost miss it. I can see the shadow of your daughter while you played. You had done a very good job ! What level of this piece ? Looks like your interest in playing piano is more than singing. May be someday you can sing and play piano. Happy Valentines Day !
