  • NICK WAS AWFUL. NEVER EVER go to the Georgianne Inn on Tybee Beach. Nick was incredibly rude and nasty to us. Stay anywhere else. Otherwise, Savannah is a lovely town. Thanks for the great experience Savannah, but Nick, make sure it's lights out, doors locked, and mouths shut by 10 or we are kicking you out.

  • why isn't the capital of Georgia in Savannah?

  • I live in Savannah, so I can pretty much answer ALL of your questions.

  • "Every day in Savannah can be a different day."

Really? Did that legislation pass? I guess if every day were the same then we'd be in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania.

Whoever wrote that little pearler should be shot with a ball of miasma. Cliched clap trap old chap. Meaningless ad-speak. How about some real information? You had 5minutes 54 seconds.

A great place for history/architecture, a lot of expensive footage foiled by beige copy and a saccharin delivery.

  • its a nice city but kinda small. I went for two days and did pretty much everything there was to do... After that... yawn... Kinda lost its luster.

  • I went to Savannah last Spring and it was absolutely beautiful. The wife and I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it.

  • I'm thinking of moving here in the near future. What is there to do here for the kids. Anything fun?

  • Such a beautiful video, But next time lets turn up the vocal recording...it is blocked out by the music..

  • Savannah is my hometown, along with Richmond, I couldn't choose between the two, I absolutely love the rivers and the squares! So much history in both cities, but if I had to choose which is more beautiful, I'd have to pick Savannah.

  • settle down, lady! the issue comes down to taste! communities with many people of color are often more open-minded and artistic. thats why when i see a tourism video with such a small percentage of people of color it makes me seriously doubt if i'd be very comfortable visiting such a place.

  • this video makes savannah look like the most white-bread town in america. you only have four black people, savannah?

  • @NORMLduder A racist is someone that is sensitive about their race, always demanding that others cater to their issues. How dare you make demands of others when you use words like white bread. The issue lies with you. I hope you deal with it.

  • 泪奔,第一次在国外网站留言,朋友们好!^_^

  • 顶楼主!我好不容易在国内登上youtube,哈哈

  • very beautiful,i want to there

  • Is this place haunted? I mean, considering all the evil that took place in the 19th century? I definitely would not like to visit this side of town. I believe this Video only covered less than10% of what this city holds

  • SAVANNAH SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE REAL 'K' GOT AN ARENA?

  • I've been to savannah, this looks very nice, but when actually going there you see the income disparity between white and black people. I've never been so disgusted in my life.

  • @sdrawkcabebag We are all responsible for ourselves, to create the life we choose. Plenty of black people in the USA have become great successes. The problem is not in race, it's in how people think. It isn't right to blame others who succeed, just because you don't know how to succeed yourself. Get to work on yourself. We've all been given the same abilities and this is a free country.

  • LOL. Georgia? It's like going back to the 19th century. I'm not talking about the buildings, but rather the people and the laws. No thank you.

  • @TrickyEmu trust me, the families that live in this area of Savannah, have owned part of the town for two hundred years. 3 miles away is Martin Luther King Jr BLVD, and if you've seen a few of those ... they're pretty much all the same.

  • I love this city so much!

  • One of my absolute favorite cities......I love my Virginia, found Charleston upsetting and, now spoiled by Central FL, but will always return to Savannah. It's not just the buildings, beauty and the historical attraction, but, more so, the folks, that keeps me returning. Then you add nearby Tybee and the terrific food to be found and just creates heaven....

  • they have castles too :)

  • savanah has best beaches and biggest buildings and most mainsions and top 10 citeis in canada and usa i live in georgia i am lucky

  • Well I disagree with MR bush,

  • This video is so beautifully put together. But, I've got to say, it is very misleading. Savannah might be an incredible place to visit if you enjoy history and architecture; however, Savannah is riddled with crime, poverty, and an extremely high rate of homelessness. If that footage was shot just a few blocks south of the historic district you would be horrified by the sights. The tours obviously do not show you this side of town. If you were to walk on this side of town you might get mugged.

  • I love this town!

  • did you say..picnic in the park

  • This comment may seem idiotic but as an outsider I can only take my account from hearsay or assumptions but is there any racial tension in Savannah? I'm looking to take a trip with my boyfriend in November, somewhere in the states and we are interracial, is this an issue? I love history, so the south seems like a fantastic place to visit but people keep warning me not to go.

  • @MsFidgefodge I think you will be fine in Savannah , I just got back from there an Im from the Nashville area, I saw lots of interracisl couples . Yes history has painted the south as being nothing but a bunch of hicks in white robes with the letters kkk on our chest , BUT we really have come a long way . It really is not what it used to be . Savannah is a most beautiful city , I found that there are sa many people with yankee accents as there was southern ones , my tour guide was from new york

  • @2329132 Thanks so much for writing back! Yes I believe it can totally be a misconception. I know some of my gay friends who refuse to travel with us to the south because they are fearful of what will happen or how they will be treated. I think there are so many interesting places to visit down south and the people can be portrayed as being really warm and friendly. I'll definitely check Savannah out!

  • i was there just a few weeks ago now im depressed cuz in back here in stupid NY :(

  • @itscodyw but trust me, you don't wanna live here. :D

  • @ShihTzusShit ik i don't wanna live there lol but i do want to move down maby tennessee but i will deffently come back to savannah.

  • Support local business.

    Buy a gulfstream V.

  • @Psychochaos3 LOL...now it's buy a G650 or G280.

  • this is to colorful for the real deal

  • it gets boring after a while ._.

  • @Ansleey3 that's why I'm moving :D

  • It's so pretty I wanna go there now!

  • @HBieberfever3 Its not as pretty and nice as you think it is..i live here well i live in savannah but in a smaller county not in the city but ive lived here all my life and its actaully not nice at all..first off you never wanna go to town by yourself becasue at night you will probaly get mugged..its gotten kinda bad over the years..still pretty though..lol where are you from anyway?

  • i love being from savannah(:

  • I love this place but it gets so hot in the summer. I'm still going to move to live here soon.

  • Hi does anyone know where I can go to find mansions for sale in Savannah Georgia? Thank You

  • @codelyokoblue Sure, check out the Cora Bett Thomas website, Ceila Dunn, Mopper Stapen or Judge Realty to view some grand homes for sale in the Savannah area.

  • I know where I'm gonna live when I grow up.

  • Gorgeous video! We visited Savannah for the first time last summer and loved it. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

  • lawlzzz i love how it plays up downtown i go to school downtown and before my school got locks on our gates we would have hobos in our school at night btw i go to st vincents

  • how is it here iv never been and i might be is it pretty

  • I looked at this video cuz of left 4 dead 2

  • I went to Savannah when my dad worked there, EVERYthing and EVERYbody is perfect. i love it so nice and fun people. I say everyone that sees my comment should go.

  • Damn that is nice. Savannah looks a whole lot prettier than any of the supposedly charming and quaint towns here in Texas.

  • Thank you for your wonderful pictures from this beautiful city.

  • I am so lucky to call this wonderful place home.

  • Im from michigan. would the move be worth it?

  • Cheesy and pathetic attempt to pull on the heart strings of Americans.Insulting ,this made me sick to my stomach

  • @JLXOutlaw i love you lol im from savannah its not as amazing as everyone thinks theres nothing to do here!

  • @SavannahEst1732 You had me at "to go cups"...

  • Savannah is nice for visiting wouldnt live here though and i been around here a long time

  • @313MidwestBoi Can you elaborate a bit more specifically on the reasons why you would not want to live there?

  • Please tell of a place that is safe to live! It looks beautiful. Do the locals pour on that (OLD SOUTH) routine with a Paula Dean accent? I'm a Southerner, born and bred, but sometimes tour guides can spread that accent a little to thick, and a southerner can spot a fake accent a mile away. It isn't just butter Paula Dean is spreading a little to thick.Anyway ,beautiful city, American treasure.

  • If you like the historical architecture- think Natchez/Vicksburg (both river

towns with mid to late 1700 roots), if you like the MS Gulf Coast beaches

(MS beaches are manmade and the water is brown like the Atlantic since there are barrier islands that trap the water between the shore & Gulf),if you

like the energy and feel of New Orleans but much cleaner…

  • @SavannahEst1733 The energy AND the feel of New Orleans? Sorry, but I don't think so. I agree that Savannah is generally a much more aesthetically pleasing place, but it definitely lacks the exuberant vibe, eccentricity, dining, and most of all the music of New Orleans.

Savannah is infamous for its history, architecture, and art. New Orleans is infamous for its history, architecture, and CULTURE.

  • @SavannahEst1733 Are the Beaches of the emerald coast from Pensacola to Panama City man made?

  • We've consulted with someone who has spent a great deal of time in Savannah, but lives in MS and he tells us if you like the

regional food of MS- from fried chicken to seafood, and the excitement of

any of the university towns, then you'll LOVE Savannah. The Historic

District, Tybee Island, the eclectic mix of restaurants and clubs and

Savannah College of Art & Design will really make you feel right at home. (cont)

  • i live in Mississippi and have to make a decision., in the summer my dad and his wife will be moving here, and i don't know if i want to go with them. how can you compare Savannah to Mississippi?

  • TO THOSE WHO WANT TO LIVE HERE: savannah is only great visiting. living here isnt that great. you see this video? its only showing downtown which is impossible to live in because of the crime. yea i visit downtown on the weekends sometimes but honestly the only neighboorhood that is safe to live in is Skiddaway Island The Landings but its quite expensive. also when u get out of downtown savannah isnt that pretty. yes the beach is nice but this town is some what dangerous so stick to visiting.

  • i went there with my mom and GS troop we went to the Juliette Gordan Low house and i could've SWORN i saw a lady with a victorian era hoop skirt and right when i asked my bff corri to come see it, it was gone

we went to The Mellow Mushroom, AMAZING pizza place, after, we went on a ghost tour, corri took a few pics of my friend serena which turned out freaky and got a pic of a victorian lady, there's a LOT more but I guess I should just make a YT vid for it

  • I love Savannah so much. I got stationed there and am currently serving in Kuwait. I plan on making it my permanent home after I get out of the Army. It is an absolute wonderful place to live.

  • How is the night life? Actually let me rephrase. Are the bars decent.

  • @JoshBHC Savannah has a very vibrant bar scene. The Historic District is one of the only places in the U.S. where "to go cups" are legal. From upscale lounges like Rocks on the Roof to local institutions like famed Pinkie Masters, there is something for everyone. Haunted pub crawls are very popular ways to bar hop with a group of friends!

  • It truly depends on which part of the area you choose. There's quite a variable of price ranges, more on our neighborhoods available on SavannahChamber . com

  • moving here in less than a month. renting a house 4 blocks from Forsyth Park. Hate the fact that there's no DOG PARK. sigh. but love how i can take my pets everywhere, ironic. a dog friendly city with no dog park????

  • @surfingmc79 Another idea we thought of for you as far as dog parks, there is an old dairy farm in Thunderbolt that is privately owned, yet open to locals. Many take their dogs out there to let them run through the fields and trails. They encourage leashes…

  • @SavannahEst1733 oh? ok, i am not far from Victory Dr. but would love to know what the name of the dairy farm is so i can locate it on my gps? i still have yet to find a dog park on tybee. i tried searching for the dog park off of abercorn, but i must have missed a turn. thanks for the 411 tho. i currently live in savannah and loving every minute.

  • @surfingmc79 If you go to Facebook and search Dairy Farm, their page will come up and it should have all of the info. YouTube won't allow us to post the direct link. We can also answer your questions quicker if you happen to post on our FB page it's fbdotcom /VisitSavannahGA

  • @surfingmc79 i used 2 live there there is a place where its all frenced in and you can let your dogs run free its by east jones street and its like right next to the school and i havnt got to see it i moved before it came hope u like savannah

  • I want to move there from New Zealand. I've always wanted to live in Savannah.

  • I want to live there so badly

  • @americangirlpixar so you can get shot and robbed?

  • @eagledynasty81 i live in savannah. this town isnt the safest but people walk more than driving around downtown but i would only do that during the day. if your interested in visiting i highly suggest it. downtown is beautiful even if your not into history. we have many resturants like english pubs to greek resturants. as for the suburbs...well there not that safe nor beautiful but if you want to get more of a beach scene we have tropical islands and the beach is very nice also. enjoy!

  • @ToriPeebs lmao, "tropical islands" it's the atlantic you retard.

  • @eagledynasty81 u can have tropical islands in the atlantic. ur saying i dont know the town i live in? i live on one of those "tropical islands" its called skidaway island. many people dont get to enjoy this island because it takes a lot of money to live there. it has beaches, palm trees etc. i was only being nice to you answering ur idiotic question, your comment also looks stupid questioning my knowledge of my own town. i suggest not visiting. based on your knowlege u couldnt get around here.

  • @ToriPeebs skidaway island is by no means a tropical island. It's marshland, forest and swamps. I've been there, I'm from Bluffton lol.

  • @eagledynasty81 it does have marshes, forests and swamps but it also has beaches and palm trees. and if u have been here then u should know that. stop being immature and questioning where i LIVE.

  • @ToriPeebs it has palm trees because it's so close to south carolina, the palmetto state. lol

  • @eagledynasty81 ok? so u just agreed with me...

  • @ToriPeebs south carolina isn't tropical at all though lol. The palmetto trees were imported, they weren't naturally grown here. It's just marshland and forest.

  • @eagledynasty81 yea eagledynasty is right lol

  • @Raemanooga Shhhh! I'm tryin' to get friends to visit!! Figure I'll send 'em this. They'll see the crackheads when they get here. HAHAAHAA!!!

  • i live in Savannah and im so lucky to live to live in a beautiful place, but i do have to agree @Raemanooga they are everywhere(the druggies) they ask u for money but over all one of the best place on earth..well to me

  • I'm proud to call Savannah "home". No matter how far I roam, I am always called home, to this graceful Southern Lady by the sea. God bless Savannah.

  • if you have a pet, it's not allowed on tybee beach, but savannah is close to hilton head island, and they allow pets on their beach.

  • i would like to go for a week long vacation, i loved what i saw but was never there before is it close to any nice beaches?

  • @jacobarg @jacobarg A week long vacation would be wonderful in Savannah! We actually do have a great beach here, Tybee Island, which is about 15-20 minutes from the Historic District area. We have pretty mild temperatures year-round.

  • what part of savannah is this?

  • @jacobarg This is the Historic District, specifically several of our Squares. Would you like more specific details or is there something that caught your eye that we can help you locate?

  • i want to live there

  • im from australia and i went here, fucken loved it.

  • What a beautiful video of my hometown. I love it here! You can travel anywhere in the world and you will not find anything like it.

  • Comment removed

  • good video

now let's see the other parts....

  • Love Savannah:)

  • Incredible video of a fasc

    inating place.

  • I was stationed there just before and after Desert Storm and loved it so much. Although I lived there a short time part of my heart is still there.

  • My favourite city in US. :)
