I studied under Sifu E.Y. Lee at his old school on Clement St. Before a back injury made me take a break. I have since healed and moved to Washington State where I practice under the Presas Modern Arnis family. I hold him in the same esteem as a father. When I told him that I had to back off for a while, he stated that it was a real shame. because I was "one of the good guys"! Now, 25 years later, I still hold those words as precious in my memory.
thanks for postng. E.Y. Lee is a good man. You should try and continue your learning from him. I too had a spinal injury that left me paralyzed from the waist down. but CLF has got me back on my feet.
the one thing common in Professor Lau Bun's lineage is the downwards chop choy. much like the yum chop, but the thumb is pointed upwards. we still do the same chop.
thanks for putting this up Sifufrank...the guy doing the Tigerfist is an SFFD paramadic now and pulled a charred body from reckage a block from me yesterday!
although slightly different in movement, but im glad to see that you have kept the same techniques in the family. Sifu E.Y. Lee is my si sook gung, and i give him much respect.
