I believe Kevin Glover made the PB in his last season after a decent career. Crowell I believed only had one real season with the Lions then battled injury and had a very very short career. The only reason Detroit had a passing game cuz teams stuffed 9 in the box against Barry. Our best TE was David Frigging Sloan (imagine a Moose Johnson on the Lions). Our Defense was so-so. Without Sanders and flex scheduling Detroit was a 5 win team and everyone in Detroit knew it.

The NFL no longer does this.

As with Sanders era I think was the begining of the new age for the NFL and how its played, new rules, regulations, approaching offense and defense and most importantly how the players tackled. Sanders for his size did much more in a short time than most in a long spand of time.

So Barry should have stayed in a terrible situation with a team that clearly wasn't going anywhere just to make the fans happy? You must understand that people invest there lives into this game and during that process get treated like crap by management. He was loyal, the Lions organization wasn't. He hated the unchanging culture of losing so he left. Any athlete will tell you that being in a place like that when you are used to winning is the worse feeling in the world. He was the best ever.

Sirmoosa. You misunderstand my comments. It wasn't about staying with the Lions as much as it was leaving with some Class. Which, he frankly just didn't do. I would have LOVED to see him go to another team, break records, get a ring, etc... All I'm saying is two wrongs don't make a right. Just because the Lion's may have treated him poorly doesn't excuse the fact he DIDN'T EVEN SAY GOODBYE to the fans. No press conference, nothing. I loved him like everyone else, but he didn't go out with class.
