For some reason, just recently it stopped allowing me to highlight in edison... I was just using it last night and it was fine, but this morning everytime I try to highlight it just keeps zooming in and out of the wave...very frustrating. Any tips on how to remedy that situation??

@TaajAlon Lol does the cursor look like a cross or a t ? I think it's because you put it in freeze mode. Ok do this for me open the Edison, in the lower (very bottom) right hand corner the fist thing you will see is freeze, its right next to noise t, regions, snap and slide, you have to uncheck freeze mode and it should work normal again. Hope this helps you.

the slicer in flexibeatz identifies the individual hits in your loop and exports them into separate wav files (keeping the original sound file intact) and then the slice files can be opened up in the channels of the pattern sequencer and the sounds manipulated in really weird ways on the fly. or, you can just set the 'start and 'end' sliders on the original sound file to mark the section to play. i find it the best app to quickly come up with truly bizarre sequences, and it's free

to the people trying to figure out why they have only a cross n' can't cut or select in edison.... i too was sitting here wondering about it and i actually juss wanted to let u guys know that.....

kidding - open it up and at the bottom of the edison window you'll see about 5 little circles, some filled in some not, with a title beside them. uncheck the freeze option n' ur good to go.......KUSH

Hi, Thx for this great tutorial!! However I have a problem at the end of the process, when i try to drag the chopped off sample from edison to slicer, all the slices do appear on slicer but not the wave form.. and of course no sound.. :-/ been drivin me crazy as when I import only one selected slice from edison to slicer it does work... only for one part..... anyone...??

Ok I have this question, and this is becoming very frustrating. I am using a 49 key keyboard and I chopped a song into 26 pieces and I don't understand how in fucking hell does the first chop of the song starts in key 25 instead of the beginning of the first key. Making it stupidly antagonizing to play the complete chopped samples in my keyboard, now I have to use the mouse to click the remaining pieces of the samples.Is there a way that this problem can be resolved??Because it makes no sense

Hi Nfx, first i'd like to say i'm a long time fan of your videos they've help me more than you can imagin, my question is, if there is a way to take samples that I'ved time stretched in sampler sequncer, and then take it to the fpc? I've tryed time stretching in a sampler getting the sample to where I want, but when i grab the sample and drop it in the fpc it reverts back to its previous time and pitch.

The sample is from music De Wolfe studio's album "Bite harder" the song like you can see is "Flashpoint"

In their prime during the 1970s Music De Wolfe used to supply incidental and backing music for a whole range of British produced television programmes. One show in particular was the legendary and ultimate Brit cop series, The Sweeney.

They also provided the music for the Monty Python sketches.

@maztakeef420 In Fl as long as you have sample or audio file set to tempo and pro default u should have no problem whatsoever matching tempo

Since always i sing when edison is on , reverb mix's up with the instrumental /etc.

I tried to drag that from edison into patern , and then try it , but then i cannot record it...when i press play , i don't hear the sound of the instrumental i dragged inside...is there any simpler way or something , im new in this and i really need it asap :(

@ArsaRogue separate your intruments in the channel mixer. that way u can edit and add effects to each instrument or vocal by itself

I like using Edison as a sampler right inside the FL window.

Do you know if there is a way to change the pitch of things that you sample/edit in Edison?

I've been trying to use Edison to chop samples and then put them into the FPC to use with a pad controller.

However, I don't really know how to change the pitch of those samples using the FPC or Edison.
