could you plz tell me the exact fps and your settings in rf and in the nvidia control center? maybe im just setting those wrong^^

I'm running rFactor with maximum settings and v-sync on, so fps is always at 60. Ofc, i'm getting slowdowns when starting from back of the grid, especially at Nords with 40+ cars.

In nvidia control panel i only forced AA x4 and triple buffering, everything else is at default.

Oh, btw i'm on Win XP if that means something. :)

Thanks. My computer is quite old by todays standards, but it handles rFactor very well.

GTX 260 216 Core

2 Gb of Ram

amd phenom x4 II 955 oc from 3.2 to 3.6 via multiplier (yes i got the right cooler^^)

4gb 1333 ddr3 ram

sapphire hd5770 highly overclocked

and i cant play rfactor at that level of detail oO

Try using different/older drivers. My friend got ATi 5870 with the latest drivers installed and he was struggling with low fps in GTR2 (it's a different game but it uses the same gMotor2 engine as rFactor), then he switched back to original driver which came with the card and everything was as it should be.

Now hes getting 400-500 fps. :)
